Tips On Getting Into The Proper Mindset When Sarging

The proper mindset is crucial. When I have it I am on fire, when I don't I am extinguished. What tips can the veteran PUA's give on creating the proper mindset?
I know there are a few ways to get the sarging mindset going.

1) Using Anchors to anchor it somewher on the body ready to evoe when needed.

2) Surrounding yourself with high energy guys that spreads the positive mood around.

3) Self re-affirmations. When I know I can fuck any girl in the room, I can. Knowing this (and you have to know it) is a powerful thing.

Any others?

I ask this cause went out sarging last night and I was completely out of it. Talking about past successes with other wingmen boosted it a bit then it faded. I just could not get it consistant. So I want to hear what you guys have to say.

What I've found to really help me get into state before going out is having the right music on hand. If you have a favorite CD, listen to it or just your favorite parts. If you have a collection of songs on your computer, make a playlist and listen to it. Like that, when you're out sarging, you'll have the music playing in your head like background music in a movie. Personally I enjoy listening to anything fast, bouncy, and/or upbeat, like rock, house, and techno. My favorites are Galvanize by the Chemical Brothers, Feel Good Inc. by the Gorillaz, LSF by Kasabian, and Back in Black by AC/DC.

Listen to music taht gets you pumped up. Look at pics of other times that you were having fun to bring back the memories and emotions. Drink coffee, or a RedBull, or a REV.

I know exactly what you mean. I often 'don't feel like approaching' at the beginning of an evening. I usually warm up by approaching a few 2 or 3-sets of girls with my wing, hb4-7s, nothing special, and just making myself think on my feet and getting a bit of adrenaline going. Plus i almost always have a laugh - that's really what i want in my warm-up approaches. That's why i may open with something like "Hey, are you guys fun?... why?" and then just exchanging funny stories, cracking jokes etc. It relaxes you, and gets rid of the almighty approach anxiety.
On a different note, while some people go by having a stream of thoughts go through their head like "i am unstoppable, girls love me, i am the centre of this party etc." there is the other philosophy that you should just banish all thoughts, good and bad from your head and say "let's go" and 'Just Do It' - to quote Nike, masters of overcoming approach anxiety.

These things tend to help me reach the elusive playful mindset:
- Getting some exercise straight after getting out of bed in the morning. Just simple pushups, abdominal crunch-situps, etc

- listening to Mindshaping after the physical exercise. - Listening to dance music while having breakfast.

- making sure clothes are properply ironed

- Calling random people and asking for Katie. :D

- Carrying around an mp3 player filled with dance mp3s.

- Opening random people. SMILING

- Re-Fixing the hair prior to the approach

I'm in the same boat as you when it come to "Bein On". When I feel money I'm fuckin unstoppable and I feel like I'm radiating. I know you know the feelin.
What ussually gets me like this is accomplishing something else significant in the day. Like I knocked out a guy that ussually kicks the shit out of me or I pulled a big trick that I was previously scared of. Then this energy is eminating from me and I get opened all night long cause I'm smiling and super confident. Like nothin can stop me.

On mediocre days when I'm simply goin through the motions or I crashed or I got schooled in the ring I can't buy a bag of farts.

The only way that I've ever overcome these lacks days is through some other external validation (its weak but that's what gets me goin). Like if I walk into the bar and have a couple of drinks to get into the zone and a girl vibes me...bam I feel it and its on. If I get into the zone and I get no vibe from anyone, I go home. I only open when I know I'm on or I've just been eye fucked.

The Music tactic and good memory recall can also really change how your nights gonna go. Like when yer drivin in the car on the way out and yer blastin whatever gets you off and laughin to yourself about that girl you fucked in the parkin lot the other night as the parkin attendent laughed his ass off cause you were makin faces as she yelled "fuck me harder". LOL

Its kinda like that forced laughter bullshit the newagey people do. Smile and laugh and you're almost guaranteed to get yourself in that mode. But I prefer that nature energy that comes from bein sucessful.

This does work. The other night instead of just recalling a memory, I talked about a few recent conquests to my wingmen. It brought my energy level up.

Curious. Is that bit about the laughing park attendent real? Hilarious story.

Here is another tip (from NLP) I know has an affect on your mindset: Have the correct body language. The body and mind are connected. That is, when you feel down/sad, your body assumes the down/sad position. Even when you are happy, if you slouch your shoulders, look down, and form your body to what it would be if you were sad, your state can't help but change from happy to sad. The reverse, of course, is true. If you remember a time when you were confident or on fire, remember your posture and then emulate it.

I guess another important thing is the body: I have enrolled in a gym last month, lost 4 kgs since and look much leaner than before. Before each gym session, I sit down, close my eyes and picture myself as a yellowing greasy sponge, filled with Anxiety, Fear, Shyness and Inaction. As I work out, I picture the Sponge releasing those attributes and absorbing Confidence and Humour. At the end of the session while I'm in a shower, I picture myself as a brand new lean white sponge filled with Confidence and nothing else.
Not only that, a fair amount of physical movement is VERY important to keep my energy levels up. :D At least I dont fall asleep while commuting anymore

Soundtrack is definitely the way for me.

The more I learn this stuff and watch the people that are good at it, the more I believe in warm-up and momentum. I've seem several masters intentially warm up on the way to a club by calling friends and getting in a talkative state. And those that don't do it that way usually warm up some other way.
Improv theater exercises are also exceptionally good, if you have wings that will participate.

Yeah that's a true story. Outside of some hotel during the christmas classic in Columbus Ohio (8yrs ago I guess...not the other day but times relative in the quantum nature that your mind exists in). She was no prize (5HB) but its still fuckin funny when you're runnin some girl and could give a shit. Maybe the attendent was laughin at me and not with me...that fucker, he should have saved me from myself. LOL
