Magic can be an amazing DHV. I've got a non-Community buddy that's an amateur magician, he's really pretty good. He does a lot of sick shit, seriously. Anyway, he's really good about making his magic sexual, which also works to his benefit. Anyway, women really flock to this guy when he gets going. The only problem is that once he does more than 2 tricks, he just becomes a sort of spectacle...a dancing monkey.

Mystery alluded to this dynamic somewhere and I've totally seen it in action. Keep in mind that any tricks you do have to be done in moderation. And, you have to leave them wanting more. One or two is more than enough to get attention and raise your value. Any more than that, without them jumping through your hoops (read, I'll do another trick if you buy me a drink) will turn you into THEIR entertainment, you'll become an object and as such will possess no ability to attract.

was at vegas last week and I purchased this kit that makes cards, coins, creditcards etc fly.... need a bit of practice with it though....i guess its better to learn bar tricks rather than the ones with cards....u cant always go around carrying a deck of cards...

When I was young(18) my buddy had this fake thumb thing. You basically stuff whatever you wanna hide into it then slide it onto your thumb. So you can make a silk scarf disappear or some other tiny object.

I remember messing around with that thing and getting dates with girls. I would bet I could make xx disappear and if I could they go out with me. Sounds super gay now but when I was young that sounded really good to me. It worked.

Another cool thing are the two red lights. It is another thing you slip on your finger. Then when you are out in the club or walking down the street or whatever you and your bud act like you are playing with these little red balls. I guess I can't describe it well but basically you push the button and it turns on and off. So it looks like you are throwing this ball back and forth. Or you can just act like it is going up your nose and out your ear if you have one in each hand. Pretty amazing peacocking device.

another cool yet simple trick i once learnt is the vanishing glass trick.

pick a medium sized glass off the table, place a cloth over it ,dont let the rim of the glass touch the cloth from inside. instead rest the cloth on ur had (kind of like an OK sigh with ur thumb and index)....have every1 touch the bottom of the class under the cloth letting them know its real and still there...now heres the trick....hav ur wing be the last person to touch the glass and have him quickly remove the glass under the cloth (u need to somehow distract the others when this is being done, so use a small glass for this trick)....now u just have the cloth over ur OK sign.....say the magic words n baam!!! the glass disappears :)

There is a better, more effective way to do the vanishing glass trick, but with mine you have to be sitting accross from the people you are trying to impress.
You put a quater on a table and tell them you are going to make the quater go through the table.
You do the cloth over the glass(or salt shaker works good too) and put the cloth/glass combination over the quater and say "1...2...3..." on 3 make it sound like something amazing is happening.
The quater is obviously still there, but you move the cloth/glass combination back over your lap and you loosen your grip on the glass slightly and let the glass fall into your lap, it's important not to let the cloth move much.
Put the now just cloth back over the quater and say you are going to try one last time to make the quater disappear.
Say "1...2...3..." then slam your hand and the cloth down on the table.
Then say you accidently made the glass go through the table and pull the glass out of your lap.
For added effect you should do the proccess with the cloth/glass combination trying to make the coin disappear at least twice and on the third time, after you drop the glass into your lap take your other hand and hold the glass in it. As you are saying "1...2...3.." move your hand up and down as if you would be tapping the glass on the table if the glass was underneath the cloth but simultaneously take your other hand and tap the glass on the bottom of the table so it sounds like you actually are holding the glass.
Practice this in front of a mirror or family member before field testing it.
I think it would also be easy to utilize this trick getting a hired gun, such as a waitress or bartender.

There will always be skeptics in everything that you do.
I believe that most people would not call you out because everyone would like to believe in magic; it's the inner child in us all that is stopping us from ruling out magic with logic.
Let's say you have opened a hundred sets and used magic in the sets.
If 95% of people believed you are a magician and can distort reality and the other 5% called you out and humiliated you would you consider magic a failed technique?
I wouldn't.
Besides you have the option of never interacting with the people that called you out again.
So really what do you have to lose?
