Helllooo pooowaaas
Styles next book will be released 12/18 - this is a compilation of the Style Life Missions from July 2006 and hopefully some new content as well
The missions last summer created a lot of new PUAs, and had lots of great information (tweaked to Styles concise but deep take on the game) that I haven't really seen anywhere else
BTW those looking for how to refine the concept of personal identity and create material congruent with that identity, it is the one of the best resources IMO
Another great thing that I learned around the time of the missions was how to seed - this is just making sure that while you're in conversation with your target, describe things that show how easy and fun it would be to hang out with you in the future (to easily # close or bounce her, or offer her #)
As presented by Style: Describe something that you like to do, in really interesting, fun, sounding terms and get really excited about it - also, get your target really excited about (look for the smile) and then DROP it, and continue the rest of the conversation. Later when you go to bounce or # close it should be much easier
The example Style used was of occasionally sneaking with his friends into pool area at the Roosevelt Hotel in L.A. - so seed whatever you like - club, restaurant, activity, whatever. Something like this (unique, free and "evergreen" - possible at any time) would be best
Like any story telling technique, use all the usual tricks - describe things in sensory terms, use details, facial expressions, tonality, etc
For mid level PUAs - along with framing and subcommunication, I think seeding is a key technique for picking up and continuing an interaction. It was the key in knowing the difference between: just being in an interesting but directionless conversation, and being SURE I was directing where that conversation was headed. Look for the smile
Furthermore, this was one of the first techniques I really recognized as "game" - this technique alone gets me those "winks" from targets that they know where were headed but without triggering ASD. Anyone who is comfortable with opening but not sure what to do after that should add this to their arsenal
Seeding is used by PUAs like CJ and obviously Style
Some seeds I've used:
- Pro sports viewing parties
- Chocolate store
- Art gallery
One of your seeds may eventually become a time bridge, but mainly - while in your set - just throw some out. Look for the smile
Don't forget, these are just seeds - an excuse to further the interaction into a TB - immediate bounce or a day 2 - so you never even have to do the things you suggest. If your subcommunication is good your target could care less about actually doing the thing you mentioned. But plausible deniability is in place to avoid getting ASD
Also remember, the key is to make it sound like the greatest fricking thing in the world - how the indian food snack your buddy made for the game last week was sooo good, the chocolate from brazil made the store attendants eyes roll into her head - its the greatest shit ever! Impart this in your story and your target will be hooked. Then stop talking about it
Have at it gentlemen
