I used to think NLP was a joke. I have reversed my stance completely by watching a guy called Derren Brown on youtube. I am very interested in this art-form. I want to know if anyone on this board is any good at NLP or if you have been studying it. Even if you aren't any good or don't practice I would live to get together with you and discuss.

i studied it when i first discovered the topic in the community. i picked up Cialidini's book Influence and Valentino's Personality Selling on the topic from amazon, for pretty dirt cheap.
Can say i'm too advanced on the subject but it is rather interesting to me, and has some all around life applicability, especially for those in sales or management, etc.

I have studied this extensively and have quite a few books and resources on it. The guy that seems to be the expert on this is in10nse. He's the one who wrote the october man sequence that allegedly hypnotises women. The thing about it is that it is really not all that practical in pickup itself but is highly effective on day 2's and durring attraction building (like when you have 1 on 1 time). I sample several methods of NLP and have even developed ways to incorperate it. If you want to fuck or get make outs by second date this is the way to go.
The thing to know about it is that is kinda low energy so if your style is fun and energitic (like it should be) it is hard to switch gears and be all intense all of a sudden. It can also come across as really creepy if you don't have a certain level of comfort already built up.
When i have more time I'll post some of the techniques I've developed on this thread. Or if you want to hit me up some time and I'll share them with you.

Ok then here is an example and breakdown of my favorite use of NLP.
First really enunciate and and pace your speech when you are saying these things. Yes like a hypnotist. Think William Shatner but more monotone. It's really important to do this anytime that you want to suggest something subliminally.
When talking to a girl in this fashion say a statement that concedes 2 points that may or may not be true and one that is slighty playful or attacking. When they react, argue or laugh at the third point they are
[SIZE=3][FONT=Calibri]subconsciously [/FONT][/SIZE]accepting the first 2. I'll give you an example. I'll say something like this... "If you and I ever got together we would be the kind of couple everyone would be jealous of. We would have this amazing physical attraction (point 1), and this awesome emotional connection (point 2). I just don't think you are spontainious enough for me (point 3)."
When you can dictate some kind of reaction at the last point you make they will not have time to process the doubts that they may or may not have about how they are atrracted and or emotionally connected to you because they will argue that they are more spontainious and fun then you are. Thus accepting the first 2. Now this is an exteme example. It is probably better to do something a little more subtle.
In sales or in a business sense you can apply this same model...
"Dude that car would totally complete your life. You would get laid all the time, people would think you are James Bond. I'm just don't think you're edgy enough to drive something like this"
BOOM GOES THE DYNOMITE... car sold.
Play around with this and taylor it to fit your style and things that you would really say. Then write me back and thank me.

The darren brown vids are bad ass. Shit, if you can learn to do what he can do, that would be very cool. Did you see the one where he makes the fat girl color blind? I have a book on basic nlp laying around here, but it seems like I never have time to read it.

Yes, I saw that vid. Fantastic. What I like more about that vid is how he transformed her attitude about her schoolwork. Before she thought the work would be near impossible and in a matter of seconds she felt completely confident that she would get it done.
