Distracted Lock in

I'm calling this technique the distracted lock in because I don't know of any definition that it falls into. Its not a body rock, its not a roll off, its not a takeaway but you'll see how it accomplishes much the same as those.

This fits well with Mystery Method technique but it may work well with others as well.

Where it fits in:

In MM, you have an opener, a false time constraint "Gotta get back to my friends" and a body rock.

That's pretty standard method and then you do the story for the opener.

For example, we have:
A1 Opener: Jealous Girlfriend
FTC: "Gotta get back to my friends in a sec..."
[body rock]: Body rock out as if you're about to leave.
Then tell the rest of the story for the opener. "My friend is dating this girl and they've been seeing eachother for 3 months and he has pictures of his Ex lying around the house."

Ok at this point or even before, the set will talk to you and you are generally facing the set or the girl.

At this point, you turn towards something in the environment like the band, another person (obstacle of 2 set), a guy, a wing or even nothing and you keep talking.

At this point, you're distracted and you're not facing her.

You can see her out of your peripheral vision. So you want to put her at about 100-110 degrees away from your line of vision.

And you just stand there while she faces you.

Every once in a while, you face her and smile or remark on something.

I've become aware of how I do this with girls I'm not that interested in and how they get attracted to me. And I've seen it in nature when guys will watch sports and their girlfriend or wife is trying to get their attention.

So at that point, you have her hooked and all her attention is on you.

Then its easy for you to go into qualification, maybe a light or medium hoop.
"Do you cook?" or "Do you play any sports?"

If you like what she says, you can turn back to her and if you don't you can just stay there. Most of the girls I've done this with will actually stay there and face you and continue talking.

You have a reward/punishment type system.

The Trust Test might also fit in good here. "Give me your hands...good girl."

The important part is to keep her on the edge of your peripheral vision to make sure she's facing you.
If its a two set, facing one and keeping the other in your peripheral vision works.
