First night in the field and need advice

I'm fairly new to the PUA community and need some advice. I have read The Game by Neil Strauss, The Venusian Arts Handbook by Mystery, The Player Guide, and study many PUA sites like this one. I'm not sure if handled a situation I encountered in the field last night correctly or if it could have been done better.

Here's how the night went that ended with a HB9 # close. I was playing pool at a bar with my two wing men when the HB9 walked in with two guys. I quickly noticed that one of the guys was a beta male and the other was a possible alpha male. The HB9 was talking to the possible alpha while the beta was just standing there obviously out of the conversation. I approached the beta first and started a conversation with him saying that I thought I'd seen him before and that he looked familiar. We ended up having the same name and we quickly became friends. At this point the HB9 had noticed the great time me and her friend were having. When she broke her concentration with the possible alpha to look in my direction I used it to introduce myself to her. After we exchanged names I immediately focused my attention to the possible alpha. For the next few minutes I only spoke to the possible alpha getting to know him. I then brought my attention back to the HB9 and asked her how her and the possible alpha know each other. She responded with, "We live with each other." So asked them is they were married. She laughed and said that they were just friends and she needed some where to live temporarily. At this point I knew I was in. I started with some casual conversation then threw in a few negs and the you look like someone famous routine. I could tell I had her somewhat interested. Then one of her girl friends (HB7) jumped into the set. The beta and possible alpha were getting ignored and decided to leave the set at this time as well. I now had a HB9 and HB7 with me at the center of attention. I made the HB9 introduce me to HB7 and I quickly moved to disarm the new obstacle. After a bit casual conversation with HB7 I brought up The Cube to her. This was all done while ignoring HB9. The HB9 over heard me talking about The Cube and I could tell she wanted to be in on it. So I performed The Cube and then transitioned to the Ring Finger routine on both of them. I had them eating every word I said. While I was doing this the possible alpha would keep approaching the set trying to regain attention from the HB9. We all just ignored him and he finally went away. I then told the HB9 that I had an awesome scar story to tell her. When she responded I acted like I couldn't hear her because of the music the bar was playing. I told her we should go some where so we could hear each other. The HB9 then said bye to HB7 and I proceeded to isolate her to the other side of the bar. I told her my true scar story (which involves a car chase, my car getting broken into and me almost getting jumped in New Orleans after leaving a club) and the Gay Cats Routine. We were having a great time and she was telling me crazy stories about herself as well. I thought I had this one sealed, until an old friend of mine showed up in the set and cockblocked the hell out of me. Just as I tried to recover from the cockblock and I thought things couldn't get any worse, her most recent hook up jumps into the set and takes her away to talk to her. How many obstacles do I need to fight off to close this HB!!! The last thing I wanted was all the buying temperature I pumped into her to go to her last hook up. This is when I grabbed my two wings. Luckily before her last hookup took her away to talk I was able to introduce myself to him and exchange names. This worked to my advantage because I then called them both over toward me and my two wings and told the last hook up that I wanted to introduce him to my two wings. They distracted the obstacle while I was able to again isolate her and # close with David Deangelo's Phone Number and Email close.

This was my very first time sarging. Are there any other ways I could have better handled the obstacles or the target? I would appreciate any advice you can give.

How did your old friend that showed up later cockblocked you? Many times if a cockbloacker shows up, it an opportunity to befriend then AMOG him, upping your value in her eyes. Though in this case, it was your friend. And you just can't do that to a friend. Learn few windman rules and explain them to your friends.

It was good that you used your wingman to distract him. And it seemed you recovered later with the #-close. Next time, instead of going for the #-close, isolate and try a k-close. Be comfortable using kino early and often. If you think you can kiss her, you can. Also, as you advance, think about logistics for the same night lay (SNL).
