Day game at Northpark

Postby Guest » Fri Apr 25, 2008 12:53 am

So, this last Wednesday I met up with Fenix at Northpark. I have to admit, I'm still getting used to the idea of night game, and had barely considered the idea of day game yet. So, we met up, and Fenix hooked me up with a sample of happy camper and venom. I think I managed to keep my body langauage more open (Thansk Bullrun and Ratio), and was trying to be more conscious of it.

We head into a store to look at some shirts, as Fenix was good enough to offer me a little fashion advice. He started busting on the manager there for never calling him, and I'm pretty sure that if he'd been a little more pumped himself, it would have gone a lot farther, a lot faster. She got us some cocktails, but we exited soon after

We spent some time walking around, looking at clothes, and he gave me a lot of advice. I did not open a lot of girls, and most lasted only a minute or two, if that, but at least I pumped myself up to do a few approaches. Fenix approached a cute blond who, in watching her body language, seemed clearly into him, and it was interesting to watch his body language as well. He ejected after a little bit, and we continued on.

A little later in the day, we headed over to B&N, which was very good for me. Fenix went up to the second level, and watched me make some approaches from above. The first ended pretty quick.

The second went a bit better, with the girls actually becoming animated, and shifting more towards me. However, I had approached, because of my tallness, from a side with a barrier. As Fenix pointed out, if i had approached from the other side, and taken a seat, they would have probably hooked.

I tried a couple more, without any real success, until Fenix pointed out a girl looking at some travel books, and then told me to try a time constraint, and some kino.

Me: Quick Question. I need to get back to my friend, but you look like you can help real quick. My friend is really into mystery novels. Authors like Thomas Harris. But I want to get him something new. Any suggestions?
HB Travel: I don't read mystery novels. I read psychology, and political books.
Me: And Travel, apparently. *pointing down to a book in her hand* Heading somewhere special?
HB Travel: *smiles* And travel. I'm going to Jordan and the West Bank soon.

The conversation then went over some of her travels, and some of mine, then moved to her education, and some things she finds fun. I managed a little kino, though it was awkward for me. Damn personal space preconceptions. :) After the set ended, Fenix gave me a few more tips on kino, and we headed back through Northpark, and each opened someone on our way through to the car.

After that, we headed down to the Absinthe Lounge. Neither of us had been before. It wasn't filled with a lot of people, but it had a nice look, and a relaxing atmosphere. A fun location to bounce to, or for a second meet, I think.

I introduced Fenix to an Absinthe called Lucid (Moderate quality Absinthe) They did decent on the preparation, though the did, sadly, light the damn sugar on fire. Heh. If anyone likes absinthe, it would be a good place to visit. If not, it's still relaxing.

Wow I'm impressed. I think day game is probably the scariest thing for me. I haven't even started working on it.

It feels different, that's for sure. But I actually started enjoying myself near the end. I have a lot fo sticking points, and I am working on them, but one of my biggest is jumping threads after the opener.

Let me tell you, after the successful jumps with HB Travel, I felt much better.
