Posted: Fri Feb 15, 2008 6:21 amSo I?m a little sick?bit by the flu bug, I didn?t really want to game tonight. Just have some coffee and a little bite to eat. I blew off a girl who wanted to hang with me instead of her boyfriend. I roll in to one of my favorite restaurants and plop down at a booth next to a mixed four set. I get a paper and start eating. Eventually three of the four set leave with only the HB9.5 left. I sitting there thinking, I?m tired, my throat hurts, my energy level is shit but damn how many times do you have this kind of opportunity, so I roll in,
Rockstar: hey let me ask you a question. I just got a text from a girl on valentines that I?m not really that into?how do you think I should respond?
HB9.5: Just text her back happy valentines too.
Rockstar: She said ?I?m just thinking about you?? and it?s kind of delicate, we roll in the same circle of friends, and she got lots of connections.
HB9.5: (she perks up a bit) ummm just tell her that?s sweet. She?s on the outer edge of the circle?
Rockstar: No?she?s the queen bee. (I shake my head)
HB9.5: (Flurry of IOIs) why don?t you like her?
Rockstar: she bitches all the time. I mean I thought she was really cool at first but now it just gripe, gripe, gripe.
HB9.5: yeah my BF complains I don?t gripe enough.
Rockstar: why aren?t you with him its valentines?
HB9.5: I?m really pissed off at him.
She spends about 10 minutes qualifying here, telling me about how guys buy her drinks and she?s so funny blah blah blah. I don?t really remember or care what she said. So I?m thinking I can at least LJBF her to raise my social proof at clubs. (I?m working on creating an entourage)
Rockstar: hey I?m meeting someone downtown?what?s your myspace we?ll talk again.
She wrote something down and I didn?t really look at it until just now. Myspace/ email/ phone. Hmmm interesting. I didn?t even think I did that well.
So my question is how toned down can game really get and still be effective?
