"hey watch this" lesson 1 in amog skills: U dont

Postby Guest » Sun Sep 30, 2007 3:10 am

those were the over heard words of some hispanic asshole named Romeo as I walked back to OUR V.I.P. table for Elation's b-day... He assumed a cocky B.L. as he spoke to MY waitress and pointed at Me. I decided to give this P.O.S. his ten seconds of fame with I, the infamous Solace.

He beckoned to me. With dismissive B.L. and averted eyes I reply: What do u want?
Him: Hey, You came up and talked to my girl while i was talkin to her, you need to watch that.
Me: she's my waitress, dont tell me what I need to watch.
him: Hey where do you live?
Me: (avoiding my automatic response of "at your mom's house") In addison.
him: See, I live right up there.
Me: congratulations. Move.

See, so many guys worry about how they compare to other guys... Why? who are these other guys? Who cares..?! as far as u r concerned they are NoBoDYs!!!!! do you understand? they are figments of your insecurities! They are your pawns! Your paths will never cross again, so let them know who the center of your reality is. Then let them go.

How do you decide when (both preferable and acceptable) to Amog a guy vs befriending him?

Hey, now I'm no wimp and I have no problems taking over an AMOG, however, let me tell you what happen to my roommate and I last weekend.

We are at Ghostbar and my roommate brought his hot girlfriend with us. So the three of us are walking around when Venessa, my roommate's girlfriend gets touched on the ass buy some guy.

She warns the guy to knock it off. A few minutes later the same guy does it again.

This time my roommate steps up to him and says, "Hey bud, stop touching my girlfriend."

The guy says, "Or you'll do what?"

POW!!!!!!

My roommate clocks the guy and a big fight breaks out.

So, lesson: It's ok to AMOG but be careful because sometime you don't know how you're dealing with.

Me, on the other hand, I AMOG all the time and if things get hairy I pull out my badge and tell them to think twice. ;-) (Dirty move but it works, people hate going to jail for hitting a cop)
How do you decide when (both preferable and acceptable) to Amog a guy vs befriending him?
Befriend a guy:
- if he has a social circle you want in to
- if you are looking for a guy friend

Amogtool a guy:
- if you get a lesser than thou vibe from him ( a quick B.L. read will suffice here)
- he is cockier thn he should be
- if he tries to invade your set social circle

there are many different amogging techniques that you can use it just depends on how you want to play him.

I hate to be the nose bleed on this thread, but there is a fine line between AMOG and dumbass. I'm not saying anyone on here was either... just a statement.

Solace the best part of this is the line ?Let them go?. There are very few things worth going to jail and having a record for; especially, if you have any plans for the future which might require an extensive background check and could prevent you from being successful.

Rico as a peace officer (per your statement), even when off duty, aren?t you required to uphold the law? Your friend committed battery when he struck the guy. Sure this guy deserved it, but if this went down as you described it, in the courts your friend wouldn?t stand a chance against a tort for battery. He could see jail (criminal) and/or monetary (civil) damages just for a simple fight to protect whatever. In addition, couldn?t you also be held responsible, lose your career? etc? if it was found out that you as a law officer did nothing?

Kind of scary if you think about, because a simple exchange of words can ruin your life. Sometimes it is better to let it go or get the professionals (police/bouncers/management) involved to resolve this kind of stuff.

Like I said, I know it isn't the popular point of view. Just something to think about the next time you are out and some dumbass gets in your face.

Police officers are not required to arrest someone. In fact, I dont think he even would be legally able to if he were off duty and out of his juristiction unless there was a fellony in process. i dont think getting in a bar fight is a fellony.
