Thurs Night with Derek Blood, Dallas Mojo and Ace of Hearts

So I'm posting my first field report here. I would normally put something like this on the Dallas Lair but hey... change is good.
3/2/06 I show up at Sherlocks in Addison and begin gaming. I have been working for a week and its my week off. (Medical field - we're like that!)
I feel cold in my cold approaches. I need to warm up.
So I game a few sets. I did "Should I shave my head completely?" and the Girl in prison opener. G.I.P. is pretty good. Its on PIMPS HOME. I use it all the time.
I do a couple of sets alone. For some reason, maybe its a sticking point, I am warmed up but I need a wingman. Going it alone is what I did before I joined up with Dallas Lair/PUA. So I've gotten used to the social proof your wings bring you and also its cool to discuss your techniques.
I call my buddy Dallas Mojo. He says he'll be there in 10 minutes. Dang. Thanks man. I love your dedication to the Art. Mojo is a really great guy and he's doing really well compared to some of us.
I also called Ace of Hearts earlier. I got his voice mail. Ace calls me back and says he will also come by. Cool.
Two awesome PUAs coming by plus Derek Blood.
BTW, this group of us four have been going out and sarging for months now. We're just active. You have us plus or minus some other new dudes.
People come and go but I have many great memories with these guys.

Fast Forward.
Ace of Hearts shows up with Mojo and I on the porch discussing things.
Ace has a motorcycle. Cool. Sounds like there are groups of bikers out there and if you can get in, you can work some social circle stuff.
A bit later Derek Blood comes by.

So we fluff for a while. I'm working on some stuff I talked over with Captain Jack. Namely: 'where's it going when you're in set?' When you begin to stall out, it may be because you didn't lead her enough.

Sets:
1. Two set. I asked if I should shave my head. They were hispanic and one was older. She did not speak English. OK. Thanks..eject.
2. Mixed set by the stage area. I start gaming them with the G.I.P. opener. I get some good response and then I'm interrupted with a cell phone call.
Cool take away. Maybe we could use this. Right when you're in set, have a wing call you on his cell. Not bad eh?
I go back and I apologise and say "well I had to take that call." We fluff a little and then I notice some dude lurking behind her. I eject and I say "Hey man how are you tonight." Its typical nice guy/ Amogging.
I shake his hand and he tells the girls I'm gay. So I say "Hey... why are you asking?" and then 'You know they have special bars for that."
His friend comes out of no where and says "come one man.". I was like "well then don't bring it up."
I walk away with 'You guys get some dick tonight." and the friend now gets ready to fight. He's all up in my face. I was like "You guys started that shit". Then I apologize. I don't care. The dude is bluffing and I can tell. I just want to get back to doing sets. So I tell him sorry and I move on.
Close call. I should watch my mouth a little. I didn't have to throw in the last bit.
3. I do a seated set with a HB8 blonde and a HB 7.5brunette. I do "Text Message Breakup." I stay in for almost 10 minutes. But I need to sit and they're at the edge of the damn booth. Blocking me. Girls must know.
They do see open. HBBlonde is supernice and I needed to do some push/pull "you're too nice".
I eject and decide to come back later. Warm ups!

4. I notice two girls getting gamed by two guys near the rest room. Hmm. I watch for a bit. They're HB9s. A blonde in red and another blonde.
I watch as the girls leave and go into the women's room. They wait the guys out.
Hmm. What looked like a couple of naturals now looks like a couple of chumps.
They wait for the girls outside the restroom forever.

Fast Forward. We see these girls and all four of us are standing around talking.

Ace of Hearts flashes a wave. Its not just any wave. I saw someone in Austin Society do this very wave. Herbal called it the "Manny wave" after one of their PUAs. Its basically fast moving hand and a big smile on the face.
Ace looks like he knows them. Maybe from before.
I get the "you guys know them" look on my face too.

Dallas Mojo games one of the girls and Ace basically games the other one. I stand there and throw in every so often.
I try to social proof them a little bit. I look over and the blonde in red is eyeing me.
Dang. Gotta go in and get talky. Maybe this is because I let the other guys talk first.
Then I wheel around the table and start talking with her.
She's really nice.
I do Strawberry fields on her. I use Captain Jack's version which kicks ass and is loaded with a sexual inuendo. I do it on her friend later.
So Dallas Mojo is talking to the other HB and for some reason, he cuts out.
So now I have two chicks on me. This is nice.

Weird. I was the wallflower and now I'm the center. Thanks to the other four.
(Actually we focus on openers and stuff but sometimes you can do this with AFCs that come in. You simply have to cut in at the appropriate times. Tyler talks about warming them up and then you can actually go in later.
I wasn't trying this with these guys b/c I don't steal sets. And these guys are really good friends of mine. But hey. Maybe I'll return favor!)

So me and two hot blondes chat it up.
Some dude with cardboard painted tits and a plastic pig wants to talk to them. I close ranks with them and we ward him off.
Its good to be a PUA!
Her friend wants another gambit. I could do The Cube. I try to take them to the porch and when they don't budge, I suggest the other side of the bar.
(Isolation is a sticking point as well.)
At this point, I wished those guys had actually stayed for a minute so I we could both isolate simultaneously. But I am now looking at a harder situation.
I did real well with the blonde in the red. She's giving me the eye but her friend needs someone.
Finally something happens when I grab two stools for them. The obstacle friend says "maybe later" to which I say "I'm going to go find my friends."
Eject and come back later.

5. Again I show up late. Dallas Mojo and Derek Blood are gaming a seated set.
Derek Blood is doing well and I'm talking to Ace of Hearts a little.
At some point, Dallas Mojo leaves...and Derek Blood pulls me in.
Well ok.
I start doing the Cube on HB8.0.
Besides interrupts, I manage to get through it. She likes it. They all do.

This time I throw in something new, when we talk about the horse, I say "so what's it like when you meet someone you have an incredible connection to" (self point). Cool
I need to lead. Where's it going.

I do that and we rejoin her friend and Derek Blood who totally rocks on the cube. He later says it opened up at that point.
(Careful with Chick Crack.)

I pay my bar tab and come back and they're doing photos and Derek Blood is going kino. I try a little and my girl gets up and pays her tab.
So I didn't get as much kino time as him.
Also I didn't get too much initial attract time either. I got pulled in.
(Which is cool. You work with what you have. You're a pick up ARTIST)

So we fluff and take pix. Mojo and Ace leave.
I wanted to talk to them some more but oh well.

So later we bounce to IHOP. In the car, we assess that I need more kino.
I needed alot more attact too. I didn't have that.

In IHOP I do some innuendo stuff and jokes. I try some kino. Nothing is taking.
I stop and back off. Then I go back in.
She's not buying.

Derek Blood is doing great. She's laying on top of him. Dang.
At this point, I and my girl are a cockblock for him and his girl.

What could I have done better?
Not sure. Kino doesn't take. Jokes are cool.

I almost did Celtic Soul Gazing. Should have. But I was beginning to get turned off myself.
So I decide to give up on her. I can't really help Derek Blood. She's just going to sit there and crack jokes (which are good btw). And she keeps inching away.
So I decide that I'm done. I don't chase anyway.

Her friend notices that I'm done and I move away.
Sorry Derek.

We pay and leave. Derek gets a hug and kiss.
I stand in front of my girl and say "cool meeting you." She gives me a hug. She says "Maybe we'll see you later". I go "yeah maybe".
She gets in her car and D.B. and his girl are closing #s.

He does the after call. Which is money. I've heard Lance talk about this too. But Brandon's version is good too.


What I needed to do
1. more kino
2. soul gaze
3. A3 material. (Obviously bounce didn't get me Cs)
4. Qualify
5. Maybe Truth Test
6. "Movie Moments" from Requiem Knight
Hindsight is 20/20

Overall good sarge.

Stuff learned:

1. Big Aha! over the fact that we can cut in/cut out with wings. I didn't do eartug this time, I just got pulled in most of the time.
Need to work on this one. Its similar to dance cut ins.

2. Tribulus' "I love you" opener

"When is it acceptable for the guy to say I love you in a relationship?"

Followup:

"Well, the other day I was talking to a girl and it just came out...I said
'yeah ok bye love ya' automatically.
It was weird because its like something I do when I'm talking to my mom or my sister or something. I didn't mean it like it sounded. Have you done anything like that before?"
"Its like in my subconscious I really do love her and it came out."

LOL. Dallas Mojo opened these chicks a few weeks ago with something along the lines "and that's the #1 thing girls lie about" to which got them to stop on their way to the restroom.

I had run alot of SS and got a great response on both of them so they remembered him and when I waved that's when they recognized me.

Right here. I was mini-Isolating the girl, me and Trib as DM was talking to the other. I was gradually turning my body to the point where my back was to DM. I did this because 1) isolation is my sticking point 2) I was getting great responses from the shorter HB and I wanted to have her concentrate on my eyes and voice. It was at this point that DM thought I was exluding/cockblocking him even though I was min-isolating for BOTH of us. DM wants to be the center of attention. He gives up on his chick and starts interrupting the gaming I was attempting. I took this as a sign that he wanted to game the shorter chick instead. Being a good wingman, they did open him first so I ejected. This is where Trib talks about cut in, cut out. I was being AMOGed by my own wing but I read it as he wanted the chick so I bailed since they did open him and even though I was getting GREAT responses from the shorter HB.

There was a set where DB, DM and I were seated at a booth where DM was standing and DB was sitting across from me.

DM opens a 2 set w/nail polish and gets the 2 to stop. He transitioned to something else. At this point, I noticed the bigger chick was responding well but DM went into a big pause to which I interjected by saying.... how do you guys know each other??

This hit a cord as the leaned back and looked at each other. They had just met on myspace.com. I then riffed patterning language w/rapport and it was like 3 topics changes later that I notice DM bails and enters another set. DB was listening and chuckling and I'm glad I held my composure as I was about to laugh cuz DB knew what I was doing. I told the chick to have Trib do the Cube thingy to which he sits her at an adjacent booth. Boom. Instant Isolation.

The other chicks goes to pay her tab and DB says he wants her. No problem. She comes back. I had DB go into Jealus girlfriend. DM comes back and he starts into some gambit. I then get up and leave w/DM so DB and the girl can talk. Instant Isolation for both my wings. How fun is helping a fellow wing! I wanted to talk to DM about the previous set so that we can communicate what happened as he thought I was Cockblocking him when I felt I was being cockblocked.

Overall it was a fun night! I didnt even feel like sarging. Shit, I didnt even open up a set!!!!! I did however practice being a good wing by co-operating and reading my wings for I need more practice.

Yeah. A couple of times I felt like I cockblocked DM. But then he would exit stage left.
Its always helpful to remind yourself what you're doing.
For me it was practice Strawberry Fields and Cube and sexual inuendo-type stuff.
Structure opportunities.

I also needed to pracitce AMOGing but chicks come first.

DM is very good.
I really like what he does, it gets him laid. He also has alot of balls. He's a great friend and we're working on stuff.

Not a dig, but DM - you need stucture. You'e like a little kid. Girls Girls Girls!!!!
Its good. I love the energy. But you want in so bad and then you eject abruptly.
We can't read minds. Well some of us can but its hard to keep up.

I think if its your set....... and you bail, then its open.

So then its open and I take a seat and start doing isolation/comfort its not cool to try to jump back in like you own that set.

DM, we need to practice some wing tactics.
They're on the net, we can look them up.

I also felt I stepped on toes. Sorry. If a chick ECs me, I figure its on.
That one blonde seriously came back looking for me later.

Opening sets is so out man. We need to try the cut in/cut out stuff.
