I am not one of those guys who can just go out and get on with the game, plus I haven't really sarged before, so I decided to do an lame approach first. so I was on my way to apply this job, but got lost. so I went into a shopping/restaurant square and saw a mixed set of 2 guys and 2 girls sitting in front of a Tom Thumb. I asked them if they know this place called "purple cow diner", they didnt know at first, but then remembered where it was, so they told me and I was on my way.
now that I thought about it, I could use "oh you guys been there before?" as a transition, but i was pretty numb so I left.

yesterday was a Saturday, so I went to the Stonebriar mall, went in from Macy's and then into the mall. there was alot of people but theres only a few thats good enough to approach. I used the "jealous girlfriend" opener Deucex told me a while ago.
me: hey can I ask you guys something?
sets: sure/ ok
me: ok I'm meeting a friend at the other end of the mall, and this friend of mine has an ex-girlfriend, and now his new girlfriend doesnt allow him to talk to the ex at all. and hes frustrated, what should he do?
set: random blah blah/ I dont know/ I dont know
me: oh ok. well thanks for your advice.
(walked off.......)
then I used the "spell" opener on a set:
me: hey can i ask you guys something?
set: aight
me: do you believe in spells?
set: no
me: really, see i got this friend who has a girlfriend, and she makes random symbols every time they sleep together. and hes kinda creeped out. what should he do?
set: i dont know.
me: ok well thanks anyways.
walked off again.
so i approached 2 sets with the jealous girlfriend, and 1 set with the spells, then another set with the jealous gf but none of them made progress into A3. i probably had some IOIs based on their body language, but i didnt know how to transit the convo because people were walking around in the mall and I stopped them to make the convo and thus make it a natural time constraint for them.
------------------next day 3/25
today I thought of make a deeper progress, but the mall was totally different. theres only 1/3 of sets, twice the guys, and many more family and old people. so i walked a long time without finding any sets thats good enough to approach. but I still did one with a mixed set of 1 girl and 1 guy.
and I thought of using a situational opener instead of a canned one which can probably make more progress.
me: hi can I ask you guys something?
set: sure
me: are you guys from around here?(looking at the guy)
guy: actually we are from the colony/Carrollton (dont remember)
girl: what you looking for?
me: well do you know any fun places around here?(looking at the girl)
girl: no not realy.
guy: there are some bar and clubs at ft. worth but not many around here.
me: oh ok. so you guys just go to the mall for fun?
set: ya pretty much.
me: (maybe a little abrupt but I did it anyway). how do you guys know each other btw?
guy: blah blah (dont remember) this is my girlfriend.
me: oh ok. well thanks.
walked off
now i think i could used more DHV and maybe negs and humor, but they just didnt come up. and the last one I could've said "really?" to the girl and that didnt quite happen either.
i called Deucex before the game but he was busy eating lunch with his dad and next day making sushi.
but he told me the typical game plans which I did all of them. he also told me the importance of the newbie mission which helps cure your approach anxiety. but I dont really have a anxiety, i can talk to a girl just fine but just i cant get out of the "stranger" zone. see the situation was in the mall where everybody was constantly walking, and I had to stop the set in order to talk to them, thus a time constraint for them. also I was asking questions so it was not easy for the convo to become personal. at least for now.
i also used a neg on a set about her sunglasses, which got a immediate IOI based on her body language but that was about it.
I wish I could go somewhere more comfortable for sarging but Im still 18 so cant get into clubs...
