FR: I am a badass!

Vector and I rolled to Deep Ellum tonight and hit Club One and The Church. I have to say that I got much more out of that mini-seminar than I expected to. One was dead but I had to hit it to talk business. I was on the guest list so we rolled right in (Yeah!) We stayed for about 15 minutes and finalized for Saturday night. Then we bounced. I got back to my car and had a parking ticked (BOO!) I thought about what Deuce said about getting his car stolen and decided to not sweat the small stuff.

We went to the Church and went right into set. It was on from the get go. Opened a warm set of around 5-6s and went from there. Vec ran game on them too. I had fun in set and knew I could close the target if I wanted to. Then I saw the thick ankles. I hate thick ankles. I ejected and left Vec in set. It was a great warm up set.

I scouted for targets and opened another warm set. I knew one but not the other. The one I knew was about a 5 and her friend was about a 7. I used body language and placement and watched the buying temp continue to go up. HB7 and I talked about motorcycles. She has a Fat Boy which surprised me. I talked about my old bike and told a story about the friend who gave it to me. Buying temp went up more. I told her about the book another friend of mine wrote. Buying temp went up more, she'd read the book. Told her that the guy who gave me my first bike was the buddy of the guy in the book. Buying temp spike. It was definitely on. I had kino going, I was friends with 2 legends in her eyes and then it happened.

HB9. Tall, almost as tall as me. long red curly hair, sweet demeanor, creamy smooth skin, and a sweet smile. Her tall, slender body was accented perfectly by her almost tight red tee and faded jeans. I had met her in passing through her cousin. I merged sets. It was natural. I was that cool guy leaning against the banister. I was holding court with 2 HBs already and bam I had buying temp. I began kino immediately, a hug no less.

The 2 HBs I has been talking with stayed in set. I had 3 HBs and 1 guy in set. All the HBs were into me. Then Vec showed with his 3 set in tow and we merged sets. Yup an 8 set, Vec, the 3 set from earlier, the 2 set I had opened, HB9 and her cousin and I. 3 guys and 5 HBs. HB9s cousin bailed, my 2 set went for drinks and Vec and the 3 set rolled. I was 1 on 1 with HB9.

Kino and conversation got us into comfort. It was going well. Then she decided to go get a drink for her and her cousin who was out of set but near by. Don't sweat the small stuff. She was coming back and I had a nearby set to open. When she came back I ignored her for a few minutes and reentered the set. I gave her shit for not bringing me a drink. She told me to pinch her ass and yell at her next time so I pinched her ass and yelled bourbon and coke. That escalated kino. I talked about my 1 night a week job working a ballroom door and we talked about dances.

BALLROOM IS MONEY! Everyone reading this needs to take at least basic ballroom, period, end of sentence, end of discussion. I took the drink from her and took her in frame and told her about the 3 main types of tango. I saved Argentine tango for last. That is the one with all the leg wrapping, the cool one. Then we went back to talking about my job. More specifically what it is like and what kind of crowd is there. I also talked about how fun the music is. We then went back to more dancing lessons, a bit of swing, a bit of salsa and some Cha Cha. She was way into me.

An AFC tried to get in on set a few times and I blew him out. I decided to eject from the set to catch up with Vec again. He was holding court in the quiet corner so I said hi and did a little fluff.

I went back to HB9 to reengage. AFC was there. I went right into set and started AMOGing. I dismissed what he was saying as lame and got him DLVing himself. Then I locked him out and engaged her directly. He tried to get back into set but he was done. Someone came up to him and said hi and I moved HB9. On the way out I put the final nail in the coffin. I rolled my eyes and said, "what's up with him." She rolled her eyes and shrugged in agreement.

We went inside the club and she took my hand. We laced fingers. It was SO on. We went up to her regular bartender and she bought me a drink. She just did it, didn't ask and got the order right too. I set up the day 2. She is going to hang out with me tomorrow night at the ballroom. We sat down and played marry kill fuck. I found out she's bi. Vec showed up and told me he was bouncing his HB. I think, I don't really remember but he was bouncing so I said goodnight.

Oh did I say she looks a bit like Tori Amos? So HBtori and I built comfort and escalated kino for a while until I released her to her cousin.

I reengaged the 2set HB 5 and 7. I talked for a while with them and found out HB7 works for a company that translates and distributes anime. She gave me a line on doing voice over work for translations. I do a lot of accents. I set up a day 2 with her for saturday at my tee shirt gig. She was going anyway. Much more low key than with HBTori.

That was It. Time to go. I have 2 day 2s set up and I #closed HBTori. I went back and told her I was leaving. I could have bounced her back to her place but I had to get home. I have work to do to set up for this weekend. She hugged me tight and said into my ear, "See you tomorrow night." I had her kiss me on the cheek.

This is where everything changes. Everything has changed. I am now the prize. Every set is my set. Every HB mine. I strive no more. Now I choose.

I am a badass.

Damn dude. I was just reading your post about your inner doubts 2 days ago, and now you seem to hit that "aha" moment you seem to be waiting for. I am waiting for that..I think I am where you were up until the seminar. sigh.

Great FR!!! Sounds like you guys had fun.

I agree with what you said. After Wednesday night, something just "clicked", and I KNOW it's going to be a lot easier!

I'll never forget what Harmless told me, "When you walk into a place, you have to have the mindset that every chick in there wants your d*ck. It's your job to see which one gets it." Brilliant!!!

That's why I post everything I am thinking about where I am in pickup. You guys help me get through the sticking points and self doubt and when I do get past them whoever reads my posts sees the merits of perseverance. If you are having trouble finding confidence, persevere, keep pushing. I am trying to word this all in the positive but I have to say it this way; DON'T QUIT! Keep going.

One of the BIG things I found in set Wednesday and Thursday is when my mindset is positive and I have a disposition of affirmation, all the pieces of what I have learned fall into place. Attitude IS key. The trick is rewiring your attitude.

In writing this reply I have realized something that I believe deserves it's own post so I won't continue here.

Dude, that was awesome. I think we were both in the right mindset and it just clicked with whoever we talked to.

I have trouble choosing targets. I just had all three of them following me around for a while, then eventually I chose and k-closed the thin one. :) I would have said she's a 7 or so. Your two girls were hotter, or at least one of them was.

Actually I had to go home. I had promised myself I would leave by 12, and it was already 12:30. I got the time bridge and a brief make-out, and got both numbers.

I tried some weird things, just for fun. One example was when one of them asked a semi-open ended question, like "have you lived in Dallas for a long time?" and I just said "nope" and didn't elaborate. (I don't remember the exact question but it was something like that.) I just stood there with a huge smile on my face, because giving such a short answer was obviously not what they were expecting. I was having fun and playing with them.

They asked, "what do you do?" To which I said plainly, "oh, I'm a model." Then silence for about 5 seconds... then "nah, I'm just kidding, I'm a programmer." I've never said that before, never even really been playful in response that question (which ALWAYS comes up), but for some reason it just came out and felt natural.

Something about the state I was in, I was a lot more playful than usual. I want to be like that all the time. I love being somewhat unpredictable. They love it too.
