Two Steps Back

It's been a couple weeks since my last FR. Just when I was on this forum saying how getting numbers is no problem. I couldn't get a number...ouch!!! I felt like I took two steps back.

Went out this weekend with another guy who is fairly new to this. He was doing much better then me. We had some good openers and stayed in a few sets, but nothing came together. We parted ways for the night around midnight. I said, to myself that I got to do something, so I went out solo for a while. I told myself that I need to just work the formula I learned at the boot camp I went to...(C-R)+Q+SE.

(Comfort-Break Rapport)+Qualify+Sexual Escalation

At the boot camp they said when opening a set, see how long you can stay in and keep working the formula. I did it Saturday...granted it was with a 5, but it gave me confidence. I didn't open with any expectations, only to work the formula as long as I could and see what would happen. We ended up going out for coffee. I put the breaks on at qualifying. I did it as a social experiment. She was cool, but nothing I could date. Any ways...it helped a lot. My mind was not preoccupied with anything, only to see how long I could keep it going. I hope I can take what I learned from this experience into next weekend!!!!

Try goining as far as you can with them...to the point where it would almost be rude not to get the number and then just get it.
A friend of mine says "A number is a kind of receipt that a connection has formed.".
