Johnny B and Slider sarge Downtown Ft. Worth!

Postby JohnnyBravo » Sat Nov 25, 2006 4:38 am

Met up with slider at Reatta for a couple of drinks and discussion prior to sarge. First venue we hit was Bar Nine. Cool club. Upstairs has a bar and also sections with couches. Upstairs was a sausage fest so we headed downstairs. Downstairs was a much more target rich environment and had a Dallas club feel. It was very loud. Slider opened one set. We didn't discuss which was the target and I guessed wrong as he kinoed the obstacle. Shortly afterwards, we moved to a different club called Embargo. Lots of candles around in this club. I spotted a two set. One chick has huge natural breasts and I decide she will be my target and I tell slider that she is the target. I approach and open with jealous gf. Target interupts and I neg her for it saying "I'm talking to your friend. It's not your turn yet". After I finish the routine the obstacle asks me which one is my friend. I point to wing and obstacle suggests that wing and target should get together. I then ran the "spells" routine. I motion to wing (slider) to join the group. Wing and my target talk and talk and talk. I'm occupying my obstacle. Well...somehow wing steals target and I end up talking with my original obstacle. Obstacle has a bf who is not present, and I'm getting IOIs from the obstacle! I neg the obstacle (which has now changed to my target) We talk for a while, obstacle and (new)target leave to go to the bathroom. I suggest a venue change to wing while the ladies were in the bathoroom. Ladies return and I suggest we go to Bar Nine. We go to Bar Nine and sit on the couches. Wing and my former target begin making out and my new target suggests that she and I go downstairs. I agree. We are getting along great and I'm getting massive IOIs. While downstairs I ask the former obstacle (now target) if she'd like to kiss me. She responds with the "I have a bf" line. I say the Mystery line..."I didn't say you could, it just looked like you had something on your mind". She responds with..."Well, it wasn't that". Ouch! By this time, the club is closing and it's time to leave. Outside, wing and original target are making out. My "new" target is talking to some other guys. I tell "new" target it was nice meeting her and walk off. Wing calls me shortly and tells me that my "new" target became a major cockblock! LOLOLOL! Serves you right Slider! However, my original target tells wing that she has a friend in Austin who might like me.

WTF?

Overall, this was a good experience. We held the same set all night and did a venue change to a place with couches. Wing and I were both getting IOIs, but my final target had a boyfriend (who was not present) get in the way. Wing ended up with a K-close and a # close from my original target. I'm kinda pissed, but not really...if that makes any since.

How do you deal with your wing UNINTENTIONALLY stealing the target? I'm positive he didn't do it on purpose. We're both newbies when it comes to this. I know you didn't intentionally do that dude but fuck! Be prepared for some AMOGing next time mother fucker! All's fair in love and war eh?

Nice attempt to help with DHV by mentioning the card counting thing. That was great and I think it worked to some degree.

Anyway, I look forward to doing this again. I had a great time.

Dude, I had a blast! I am really sorry about the target deal. I guess that type of stuff happens when you are learning. I am sure it will happen to me sometime, that karma stuff!!! I owe you one. Totally unintentional.

I went in and the only place I could really go was next to the target. Probably what we should do next time in that situation is when the wing signal is given, rotate sides to the target and the wing will natually have a place to go stand and provide cover fire on the obsticle.

With the jelouse girlfriend opener, I have been saying that it is my friend Stephanie who is dealing with the issue. I think it builds comfort that you have some female friends who are just friends and makes you fly a little bit below the radar on your true intentions. I kept getting lots of questions about the girl I was supposedly dating, and it suggests that I am a jelouse type. Ha ha. It was fun having to make up BS to cover for it though.

We will figure it out. I am having trouble with the target/obsticle deal. Well, obviously I am. In the set I opened up to at 9, I went in and didn't really make up my mind on my target. I just got excited and wanted to open and didn't really plan out much further than my false time constraint and opener.

I totally agree on Bar 9. That is a pretty cool place. Wasn't digging Embargo too much. Just not my typical scene, but it is good to try out new places.

This is why I don't like going out with a wing. However, the best way I've come up with to let the other guy know who "MY" target is, when wing comes over, I invite him join us by saying "grab a chair these chicks are pretty cool, except for her" and I point at my target. So, wing knows who I'm gaming and I've given her a playful little neg.

how about when you introduce the set, introduce the target last. It's shows disinterest and lets your wing know. Vector generally run pretty good game when we wing. Our timing is pretty good and we DHV each other pretty well.

I like the idea of introducing the target last. You could say something like "and this is.....uh....What was your name again?" to show further disinterest. I liked scoundrel's idea too about saying "....all except that one"

Good ideas guys. Thanks.
