I have a serious issue, I cannot kiss close this girl. She is a student at the same college I go to but she is not your typical girl by any means. She was born in Mexico and is still a Mexican citizen and very proud of her heritage, which I admire and am actually attracted by. I have built attraction and comfort, but am losing ground with comfort if I don't start seduction soon. We have a good time together and she is very entertained by me and I can tell she likes me because she has gone out of her way to do things with me that she doesn't necessarily like ( lets go to a carnival then she tells me she is affraid of heights...lets go get coffee, then when we get there I find out she doesn't even drink coffee ) so I know she wants to spend time with me, I get IOIs, but its hard for me to find the right moment to get physically close and kiss close. Plus the other issue is we do not have very much in common, like almost nothing as far as music, what we like to do for fun, physical activities... seriously, I'm trying to find SOME common ground and its really tough. I really like this girl, she is a knockout and probably the most ambitious girl I have ever been interested in, all the other girls I have dated have kind of been in an aspirational slump.

Any and all advice is appreciated, on both the close and just helping navigate long silences because we don't have that much in common.

Is she young? It sounds like she may not be very socialized, meaning that she could be naive about how the real world works. It could be she doesn't know that it's normal to kiss men whom she might not marry. It is also possible that she feels she is constantly being judged, either by God or she could be constantly judging herself, thinking "what would my parents think?"

As for how to fix it, that might be difficult. But at least make sure you avoid the friend zone. Don't let her ignore the fact that you're interested in her "in that way."

She is young, to me at least early twenties. After the "going no where" phone conversation we just had where she had me on speaker the whole freaking time cause she was in her dorm and didn't want to come down three stories to have a conversation with me in the laundry room while I was doing my laundry, either she doesn't get it, or she has lost interest. Either way, to avoid the friend zone I'm making a clean break of this one for at least the next week if not longer and might come back to it in a month or so. It's not like I don't have other options, in fact I just got a number from a girl in my stats class tonight.

I just liked this girl cause I guess she "seemed" so different, at least to anyone I have ever met before (the last three girls i've been with could be copies of each other in so many aspects). I guess when you start drowning the best thing to do is get out and find a more suitable pool, least til you can tred deeper waters.

Yep this is either headed or in friends zone. My take would be LJBF.

My last girlfriend and I were complete opposites. Even having almost zero in common the connection was there. You could just sense it even before anything happened. Of course since I immediately escalated it took the correct path.

If you like a girl escalate or get ready to experience LJBF.
