Posted: Tue Jan 22, 2008 10:08 pmMe and Trib went out to Xbar in dallas, the place was filled with HBs but for some reason my AA was just unbearable so we bounced thinking a venue change would help, I finally opened a set a Ybar. I stalled. That was the only set in that bar, so we bounced again, this time to Zbar. Trb opened a three set, I winged, here’s where this story gets good. I get the two obstacles one is an HB7 but the cocky tomboyish, jock type super alpha, I’m like fuck I hate these chicks. The other is an UG, he takes his target. I locked into the bar and started busting both their chops…cocky funny style. Then things go sour.
HB7: Do you like sports? Did you watch the game today?
Rockstar: Don’t like sports.
HB7: Are you a fag? What do you mean you don’t like sports?
Rockstar: I played sports in college; no I couldn’t give fuck about them.
She and the UG start busting my chops about being gay, then they come in with what’s with all the rings. Ok at this point they’re pissing me off because I’ve been relentlessly slapped around for about 15 min. The whole time I’m thinking Trib close this bitch, I even thought about baling out of the set. I was pissed, but I hung. I was just there to occupy the obstacles. I even got told to not show my cunt by the UG. They were trying to blow me out. But I stood, held my ground, and didn’t break my alpha frame. So we get to the rings.
HB7: what’s with all the rings?
Rockstar: (pissed, point to the pinky ring) this is just a ring, (point to the thumb ring) this is where I burned my thumb (show her) and this is my wedding ring. I’m separated.
UG: (to HB7) I don’t think you should tell someone your hitting on in a bar that this is your wedding ring.
Hb7: Why do you still wear you wedding ring?
Rockstar: (Looked her dead square in the eyes, It was true what I said there was no game in it, It had no ulterior motive, she just pissed me off to the point that I was like OK ... Fuck you … I’ll blow you out.) My wife and I separated about six months ago and I wear it to remember never to do what I did to another human being.
Well I got my wish it was like dropping an A-bomb on the convo. They turned to Trib and his set and started playing with the next shiny thing. Trib went to the restroom. When he came back he actually came up and asked me if I was alright I was so mad. I told him I was fine and he said he was over his set, so we started to leave. I went to say good-bye to HB7, and she literally turned around sideways in her chair to gain rapport with me…she was in C1!
Hb7: hey, I’m sorry if I pissed you off.
Rockstar: It’s cool. But I do know some where in that black heart of your lies a beautiful princess. You are really pretty cool.
She’s pecking with her head now. Close to my face. I’m thinking like WTF she hated me 45 sec ago, now she’s acting like she wants to kiss me?
HB7: thank you!
Rockstar: I know you just act like that to protect yourself. You don’t have to do that w/ me. I’ve learned two things lately about power, the truly powerful aren’t afraid to be vulnerable. And people like Gandhi are more powerful than the highest priced mercenary; he ruled a nation with his heart, not his fists.
HB7 (I don’t really remember) blah blah people compare me to Gandhi.
Rockstar: I think we’re leaving. (Trib was standing out of set.)
HB7: well I don’t really get out much, but next week end I’ll…
Rockstar:(cutting her off)look I don’t really do this, but can I get your phone number?
She literally tripped over herself to write down the digits. I gave her a hug, she kissed my cheek and we left.
So here are some things that I learned from this set. It’s always the hard ones that make us think.
1. The game has to get turned off to get into C1.
2. The only way to really emotionally connect with a girl is to be vulnerable; for real you can’t fake this.
3. Do not break frame (be non reactive) and PLOW she’s just really bad at running A2 on you!
4. The truly alpha dog IS vulnerable.
Ok so guys try working on being really super fucking vulnerable to your target (i.e. tell her something you haven’t told many people, are ashamed of, or regret). She will respond with C1, which makes since, she’d look like an asshole to not go into C1 with a guy when he’s being vulnerable.
