FR Sarging at Stonebriar Mall
Went to the mall this afternoon to do some Christmas shopping. Ended up going into Dick's Sporting Goods. As I was walking around I noticed a girl sitting in the camping chairs. Hrmm nice body ok I will go have a seat as well. I open with hey I am thinking of buying a white belt do you think that would look emo(I had white Steve Maddens on). I told her I wanted to have a belt to match my shoes but my friends all said it was gay and would make me look emo(belt is white with chrome/silver metal thingies on it). She was like nah I think it would make sense since it would match your shoes. I told her she is my new fashion consultant and I will need her number so I can call her later.(This was way too early in the convo to ask for her number. She didn't give it.) No big deal I somehow kept the convo alive for another 10 minutes or so and never mentioned the number again. She was vibing it but then all of the sudden she got a phone call. Someone was meeting her at the mall which she pointed out in the convo earlier so she had to take the call.
What would guys do here? I ejected as I didn't want to look like a dusche sitting there waiting for her phone call to end. I almost thought about grabbing the phone and start talking to the other person but chickened out on that.
As I met up with my friends she was talking to one people she knew that worked at the store. My friend said hey did you get her number in a tone that everyone could hear. She was still on the phone but said not yet but I will be back in a minute. I didn't feel like waiting there so I bounced. Just didn't want to take the chance of looking like a tool incase she was bullshitting.
Lesson learned: Build rapport before you ask for the digits...
