Dallas PUA

This is my first Field Report, and it was my first real attempt at putting the bit I've learned thus far to work.

Setup:

My new Wingman and I went to Dukes in Bedford. We entered and made our way to the outside portion of the bar that has both outside and inside access. It was perfect for scoping out the inside while ordering drinks. I spotted a 3set at a table, two HB6 and a...well...obstacle.

The bar on the outside was actually quite crowded...and this older balding guy with a pony tail kept bothering us..pretending to pick a fight then yelling, "IM JUST KIDDIN" and sloshing his drink on us, or something. Once we finally got our drinks, I went in to open. I used the event that JUST happened with the Pony-tailed buzzkill as the opener.

*I sat down in the one empty chair*
"Hey, you see that older guy at the bar with the pony tail?"

The target started to turn toward the bar to look at him

"Don't look right a way!! Geez, not too suave are ya? Anyway...we've been here maybe 5 minutes and this guy is creeping us out. Picking play fights, trying to buy us drinks...following us around the bar when we're trying to get away from him...hope you don't mind, but I'm gonna hide out here for a bit. Beautiful women seem to scare him off."

Now, I think the opener worked well. I had all of them smiling back, and engaging in conversation with me. I couldn't neg the target as much as I would have wanted to, but all in all i think that part went well. My wingman entered shortly, jumping right in to the, "Man, have you three seen that ponytailed guy? ......"

Perfect. We were both in.

Here is the problem we couldn't figure out how to overcome.

Sitting Situation:



My target was the brunette, my wing's was the blonde. My wingman pulled up a chair from the table behind me, so he was to my left, next to his target.

We spent about 10-15 minutes there from my initial approach, rolled off for a few, and we came back to the exact same positions (couldn't figure out how to wiggle in a seat change I guess?) We were both at a loss on how to move forward from this point, closing in any positive way seemed unlikely, so we made our bail out as smooth as possible.

What could we have done to get me over by MY target...and him in my place...with out completely cutting off the obstacle so early? The way I see the situation, we actually could have used a 3rd to occupy the obstacle, but that wasn't available and this was a good set so we weren't going to pass it up.

Any help is appreciated, and if I've posted this in the wrong place, please let me know (if this isn't actually a FR..but something else I'm unaware of)

The way I see it, you opened the set, so it's yours. You should have given your seat up to your wing so he is in good position to occupy the blonde and the ug. Then you move up next to your target. It is the job of your wing to occupy the obstacles until you at least get a #close. If you see that your wing is into the blonde, then you can occupy the ug for him, but like I said, it's your set.

BTW, there is no need to neg a 6. Tease and break rapport playfully to spike up attraction, but don't try to bring her self esteem down unless she has a high bitch shield.

The seat switch with my wing was kind of what I was thinking of.....AFTER the fact, of course. Thanks.

About the Neg, I see what you mean. It really could have gone bad, luckily it didn't.

Here's what I would have done..

Have a plan:
1) I need to get over to her seat
A) Make friends with ugly chicks first
B) Be Playful
C) i gotta be outta my seat alot


Talk to the ugly chicks find a ratio that works

kinda like 2:1 so for every 2 to I would say 3 threads of converstion go over to your target and pull her in or start a new thread with her. Then go back to ugly chicks. Throw in soft negs I would say, because if you have her too self conscious the ending will knock the bottom out of the self esteem cloud. Now once everyone is cozy with you (The ugly chicks) start to slowly shift your ratio to your target. This really depends how cool you made the ugly chicks with you in what amount of time.

** Careful if you have to/are going to neg the ugly chicks. **

Be playful screw around with the ugly girls. This is easy I'm sure everyone knows how to do this, you can just start talking to them typically. Anyways get up play around with them. Get one of them out of there seat and screw around. Twirl them do whatever find any reason to get them up and about.

This is kinda like conditioning your audience. Your target sees:

1) Your making friend with her friends you must be alright.
2) Your out going and your not making too much of an ass out of your self. 3) Furthermore your leading and all of your leading has been playful with out harm to anyone in anyway.

Now that you have that. When you have shifted to more focus on your target tell her to get up. I would say stand facing her say "get up I want to show you something" hold both your hands out like you really are going to do something. When she gets up take her hand say ok I need to to face this way. So what you just have done is make her stand where you just were standing. Then just simply sit down on her seat and start talking to the ugly girls again.

You could throw in a kinda evil look at her with smile and a laugh. Since her friends are already being lead by you they will laugh too.

Then you can say "nah I'm just kidden" and grab her a seat.

Now for an extra to take your seat with you and find her a seat then come back with another yet she cant sit down. till you come back.

Depending on how things went with her you could tell her friends "hey were are going to go look for seat we will be right back." just grab her hand and go do whatever. If you made her comfortable enough she'll go with you.

Other than that I think your opener was not bad atleast it was synced with your wing.

Thanks. Since that night I've been looking for an exact same set to try it out again. I NEED A DO-OVER!


We went out last Saturday and caught a 2set and another 3set and had better luck. I used this lame routine I made up in about 5 minutes about moving in with a chick friend....it worked on both sets (I know I shouldn't use the same routine in the same place a few tables away from the 1st set....but F it...I was a bit intoxicated.)

lol its all good man what ever works.
