Where to go from here?

So here is a field report that I would like y'alls help with. I did approach one set way late into the night on Friday. I got great social proof from a guy that was just talking me up to the girls. I did a couple of takeaways and threw a couple of negs. She ended up back with her friends and then came back. The bar was closing so I said "Let's keep in touch." as I was pulling out my phone. I said, "Alright, put your number in here." to which she replied, no you do it. I asked her how to spell her name and what her phone number was and she gave it to me. I continued by commenting that I was going to text her to make sure she didn't give me a fake number.

So I did text her just a couple of minutes later:
Atari: "Double your pleasure, double your fun. Wanted to make sure you didnt give me a fake number. Text me back or..."

No reply that night, but Saturday during the day she texted back:
HBClub: "Or what? Who is this?"

So I was busy eating lunch, so after lunch I replied:
Atari: "-2 points for not remembering the attractive bald guy you gave your number to at Lotus."

So far I haven't heard anything back. I am thinking that I should call her, but I don't really have much time to go out, or have anything cool lined up. So I guess my question is, where should I take her, or how should I proceed?

I wouldn't call back until you hear back from her.

If you do call and get a day2, you need to understand that you really don't need anything 'cool' lined up besides maybe a chilled bottle of wine at your place.

I've read a lot of questions about day2s and I find it interesting how a lot of guys seem to think that having something cool to do is necessary. The best day2s are a lot like Seinfeld, they're based around nothing...you can very easily get a chicks panties dropped on a day2 at Target. Trust me, I've done it. Keep in mind that YOU are the day2. That's all that SHE should require. If she needs more, you don't want that bitch anyway...

Couple recommendations....

a)in the future stick your name at the end of your first text to a girl that's not going to have your number in her phone so the first automatic response is NOT "who is this?"

b) not really sure i really even get the 'double your pleasure'...stuff...so not sure if that's meant to be humorous?? the fake number comment is a DLV, and the "text me back or ...." might not come across great from an unknown number(remember she has no idea who this is from and/or much about you). Personally, i think for future, may want to retool your opening salvo, but that's just my KJ $.02

c) Generally, right when i get the number and she is still standing there, i hit dial. Just say..."there's my number so you have it too" and leave it at that. That way it's in her call log, she's knows it, and if she's really interested and hasn't served up digits all over the place, she'll know who it is.

BR is right about a Day2. Nothing cool SHOULD be lined up. Drinks and conversation are SOP for me. No distractions. You want to see if YOU are interested in HER any further. He also posted a good post on day 2's somewhere you can search...

edit: (Without adding all the caveats) i think for beginners, suggesting meeting out somewhere is the best/safest bet, not coming to your place.

Honestly i doubt you will hear back from this one. I would chalk it up to a learning experience. BUT i wouldn't walk away from it...at the very least i'd probably text her tomorrow and say hey let's grab a drink and finish that convo from Lotus... free 8PM on xxxx day type of thing...

I am constantly amazed at Bull Run's knowledge ... I've never thought about day 2's this way. I'm always kind of petrified to be honest. I usually meet somewhere and grab a quick bite making sure the place has a bar.. Getting there early to calm my nerves.. But I should be developing my personalty and being the person i am/ want to be... Fuck sounds simple enough. ..

So I will throw in my 2 cents.

Yes I too think this is a dead number. Get used to it. I have gotten hundreds of these types.

I go back and forth with giving my number to the girl after I have closed her. When I do I usually send her a text the second I number close. I will just say something like: Hey Dork!

At times I don't do this on purpose and because I might be tipsy and forget. That means the next day I have to text her without her having my number. But I don't sign my name because I want to hear: Who's this? That way I can fuck with them a little and for me it gets us onto a fun conversation.

I might reply with: Geeze how many gurys did you hit on last night?

Or I might say: Prince Charming, Duh

Either one of these will get the convo going into a fun direction. Girls don't want mundane boringness.

Your first text DLVed yourself big time. Just chalk it up to experience.

As far as a date...anything that involves drinks is a good start. I assume I am nailing every girl on the first date so I try my best to set logistics up in my favor. I never start off by telling her to meet at my place though. I will always says do you want to meet at the venue or my place? She usually(says venue) then I call her shy and she says my place is fine.

i agree with pc and td. if you were used to getting girls numbers you wouldnt suspect or even care/notice if it was fake. she automatically thinks: why woulld i give this guy a fake number? does he usually get fake numbers? he did seem a little wierd...

even if you werent wierd.

send something dumb. if i text them or give them my number I'll say "no stalking between 2a-10a... u might see me naked
