You seem to imply you still held out hope with HB9 “no reason to pull rip cord and eject” or at least wanted something more from this girl be it friendship, access to other hot chicks, whatever. Given that fact these guys actually did you a favour by opening her. I don’t know the history but surely this girl would have made the blowout easy for you unless she invited the approach and/or wanted it. As it was she let them buy her four rounds. It sounds to me like she wasn’t an innocent bystander or you didn't do your job.
The whole buying drinks thing is a stupid discussion. Do it when it makes sense. Obviously don’t supplicate or have her order you around - that’s just stupid and falls under numerous other “don’t do it” categories. The cost of drinks is pretty cheap anyway. If you are such a cheap ass you can’t buy her a drink when she’s gunna fuck you later what else does that say about you?? (chick logic)
To your other point I have sometimes wondered out there about guys being “community” due to them pulling off some nice move or gaming a set really well plus numerous other things. I have observed this in many cities around America. Whilst these guys sometimes make decent wings they always just turn out to be naturally good or some other reason (looks usually) or they blow it later somehow. Either way it hasn't turned out to be community guys thus far.
WD-You may be right, she very well may have turned to these guys and said "save me" when I went to the bathroom for all I know!
I wasn't trying to imply that I "held out hope", what I was trying to say is that I've dating enough women and as an older PUA I'm interested in an interesting woman as well as just a hot body/face so i look for that initial chemistry which we didn't have(and yea, that could be from lack of attraction on her part, and subsequent vibe/lack of we had...so be it..), but since i had already driven and was out, there wasn't anything reason why I wouldn't stay and have a couple drinks....that's all. As to the drinks, he was buying rounds for me as well...and yea, that discussion is old.
I was just commenting on how it was interesting to watch the whole thing unfold as a 'community guy', almost objectively in a sense, and for me a interesting situation i hadn't encountered before.
it was valuable experience for me, and admittedly, was alittle off my game for that situation.
