We come to a point where she is going in a different direction..so ..
ME: What is your name
HB8: gives her name..and in return asks my name ( can I consider this as IOI?)

Day 2 (Since we are in the same office. I can chat with her on communicatior

ME: Hey,
HB8: Hi
ME: I saw you the other day, and looks like carrying the heavy laptop has made you develop some good muscles on your hand
HB8:lol. Where did you see me?
ME: blah blah place
HB8: When did you see me?
Me: I don’t remember, if it was today or tomorrow..
Me: Anyways, I am heading to the cafeteria to have some juice..do you want to join
HB8: Sorry. I am bit busy now..
Me: No problem. You don’t have to say sorry to friends..may be you can invite me next time
HB8: lol 

After that I did see her couple of times, when she was with her other coworkers and she did give a big smile.

This was one of the lamest pu attempts I have ever read.

You have to approach hundreds of women to get good at this. You plan on approaching every good looking girl in your office? You will get fired. Start approaching women outside of work so that you don't ask us to dissect every half-baked attempt.

Wait for some reciprocity.
(as in she will talk to you, come to your area, be available, flirt with you, etc.) You have already asked if she wanted to get some coffee.

You might throw in a compliment like "You look cute today. I like the...."(comment on what you like)
But that's it.

If she responds, go for it. If she has something better to do or isn't taking the cues, then move on.

I agree talking to women outside the work environment is good. You have to be fast in bar/club scenario.

On the other hand, You have an advantage in that you will most likely see her again as opposed to some random girl at a bar.

So you can slow down or speed up your "game" depending on the circumstances.

You planted the seed by talking to her about the heavy laptop. Finding her on communicator is a bit creepy, and desperate.

If you work in the same office you are bound to bump into her again, and when you do bump into her thats when you engage her. "Oh its you again, the girl with the heavy laptop" this way you will look a lot less needy, and much more smooth.
