So I took today off and in the late afternoon I decided to try BR's apartment day game. I went to two different complexes. One was aweful. Nothing to open, nothing in site but 50+. No no no no no..
The other was much better. I got the apartment manager which was about my age, divorced, 1 kid, nice body (7) . My story for looking at apartments was that I was looking on my brothers behalf since he is graduating from school and is applying to the local school district. Both of which are true. Also, I figured if I was looking on behalf of someone else, it would be easier to jump to a different topic.
Anyway, they accepted that and showed me around.. Amenity this, pool that, price this, clubhouse that. I kept asking questions to open her onto another subject but it was like pulling teeth. EVERYTHING I ask eventually ended up back at the apartment complex and why it was a good place. I even tried spells openner relating back to my female friend that just visited New Orleans and now can not stop thinking about this vooodooo guy she met there. The exchange ended with her telling me that I don't have to worry about creepy voodoo or anything creepy at her complex and her suggesting I call the police for a "safety report" of the area.
In short, SUPER HARD to transition into attraction. REALLY HARD.. Did I say HARD? Also, it's a crap shoot as far as if your going to waste 10 mins of your life with HB7/8/9 or monster -1. Now, I will take the blame for being a newb, but this seemed harder than the bar to me.

She transitioned back to that topic because it's a "safe" topic for her. Kind of like how the "spells opener" is a safe topic for you. You went to that because you didn't know what else to say. Same with her. I doubt she was frame testing you, like it sounds like you're saying. I think she was just nervous and falling back on what's comfortable which is to talk about the apartment's pool.
My hired gun game is non-existent most of the time. That's because I think of them as walking cash registers, basically. Now Bull Run flirts with every waitress, for example. That's because he sees a woman, not a waitress. When I get in that mindset (not antisocial), I do splendid with the hired guns too.
My point is, I think the mojo to hired gun game is to be really in a personable mood. I think the reason she fell back on her "safe" topic is because you somehow introduced tension, maybe you put the burden of conversation on her, and she had to think of something to say.
Here's one case where asking questions can be a good thing. It will guide the conversation to where you want it to go. Don't worry about "attraction" so much in day game. You'll be attractive just by being confident and intriguing. Just talk, talk about you, about her, her kid, that time in college you skinny dipped in the fountain, etc etc etc.

People love to talk about whats important to them. Most likely her child means a great deal to her and is something she has a lot of passion for. I would have tried to steer the convo that route since you weren't getting anywhere with other methods. Next time you might just try asking her some open ended questions about her child.
You got out there and gave it your best shot and learned more about conversing with women. Thats success in my book.

Ok, here is where I think the problem is and I'll explain why. It's a matter of investment. You were asking all the questions aka she had something you want, you were expressing interest in her(or her apt complex). This renders your attempts to transition into attraction very inefective. How is that different than any other guy that comes in. I really am apt shopping and this has been absolutely money for me. I'm not sure if this is case for why this works for Bull Run, but in all 3 of the instances that this has worked for me, I have been very conscience of things that I have said to them. I have made way more statements than asked questions. instead of saying."Could I fit a nice couch here?" say "I have this bomb couch from eurway I could see here". Assert yourself and make her inquire about you. I went as far as to clown the sales shpeel she was giving me and say I hate feeling like I am dealing with a sales person. Subcomunicate to her that you are not interested in her apt, she is interested in you as a renter and as a person, because you have a chance to advertise how fucking awesome you are. then it is easy to talk about things you are into and doing later. One of these girls has "followed up" with me like 3 times. and has remembered all kinds of details in our interaction. It was super easy to invite her out to the block party saturday night even though I told her I found a different apt. We both said we were going to be there anyway, so I said "Meet up with me, I want to see your costume". It's no different than any other type of game. Think about what other afc guys do and stand out by doing the opposite. You're disarming her by acting like you are not hitting on her just in a slightly different way in this particular instance.

I went to my old apartment complex yesterday and got in the elevator... lo and behold there is this leasing agent who I always kind of knew had a crush on me... so I get in, open my mouth, and this is what comes out:
"So how's everything with you, HB, you getting this FILLED UP yet?" And yeah, said it all innuendo-ey. She looks nervous for a second, is like "filled up? yeah it's getting filled up..." then she looks me right in the eye as the elevator opens, and gives me THE LOOK, you guys know the one. She's all "the leases are BINDING (flashes eyebrows), so we're TIGHT."
