Earlier today, I was in line at a sandwich shop and started chatting with a 2 set. Usually, I'm not one to run day game, but I thought what the fuck? The line was long and I had ample time to do so.

I used a spontaneous opener about the lady ordering like 10 sandwiches and the conversation took off from there. We chatted as we went through the line and I got the impression that one of them was really interested. So, I decided to go for a number close at the soda fountain.

Bull Run: "You seem like a cool girl, we should grab a drink sometime...what's your number?"
HB Subway: "Oh, what? Well, you're totally not my type. But, you seem funny and interesting, so convince to keep chatting with you."
Bull Run: "Well, I'm not a politician...yet. Vote Bull Run in 2020!! As such, at this point in my life, I'm not in the business of convincing strangers to vote for me. Good luck..."

To be honest, I'm not sure what to think of the above. I don't really care about what she said, I'm just shocked that I said what I did. There was a point in my life where I would have stayed and tried to convince her to stick around. You could say that she was just putting up the bitch shield or being coy or being playful. That is was a shit test, but I thought of it as a hoop. I wasn't going to jump through it for someone I don't know.

What do you guys think? What do you guys think it says about where I'm at now? Would you guys have tried to convince her or play it off as a joke on her part? Maybe respond with something funny. I don't know.

I guess I was just thinking to myself that I'm not going sit here and work my tail off for this chick that I didn't really even meet. There are thousands that would have jumped at the opportunity I gave her. So, I nexted her.

As Grimm said, if you tried to convnce her why she should like you, you come off as try hard and lower value as you set the frame that she's the prize.

I'm not sure exactly, but I wouldve said something along the lines of, "wow, are you always so judgemental? I bet you didn't know that I'm a professional hand model that likes to (some activity that messes up your hands like boxing or somethng)." I would of course say this in a fun and light manner, definitely not in a serious tone. After making that comment, I wouldve stuck around for a few more minutes of conversation then reevlauate the situation...

Or you could flip the switch and qualify her.

Say something like, "convince you? Now I'm having second thoughts. YOU should Be the one persuading ME not to walk away...!"

There can be two responses:

1. She lists why you should like her, and now you've set theframe that you're the prize. Carry on with more witty banter.
2. She says, "ok then, walk." or some similar response. At that point you walk.

I actually really like your response. The most powerful way of communicating that you're willing to walk away is to walk away. The problem is that you don't advance the interaction.

You could have ignored what she said. You asked for her number and she didn't give a relevant answer. You could have used the vacuum for two or three seconds to give her an opportunity to backtrack. Many times, girls talk while they're thinking. You don't have to listen to everything they say. It could be a hoop or a shit test or it could just be her moving her lips while she's thinking. Everything a girl says is a toy for you to play with... if you choose to.

If she doesn't backtrack or give a more relevant answer, then you could cut the bullshit and say, "look, if there's something about me that interests you, then we can get together, but 'no' is an acceptable answer." Then use the vacuum again to give her time to soak it in. If she says "no" or gives an otherwise unacceptable answer, then you could say, "then I guess the adventure ends here. Have a nice day." This way you still show the willingness to walk away, but you give her an opportunity to properly answer your question.

Well there are two sides to this argument. You could have stayed in set and seen where it went. Good chance it ended up with you not getting the number. Small chance you got the number and then you are most likely dealing with a flake anyways.

The move you took is the one I would have taken as well. You are thinking with an abundance mentality. She didn't want to go out with you, big deal. The next girl you give the opportunity will want to, and she will not be a big annoying challenge like this one was.

You will probably give away some shots at pussy by nexting girls so quickly, however your time will be spent in better areas chasing the girls that are not so annoying.


On a side note. I really don't think girls get hit on like this in their daily lives very often. So when an opportunity arises and the girl puts up that much of a bitch shield I say move on. The girl should appreciate the fact that a guy has enough balls to ask her out right in the middle of a fast food joint and not put up a shit test. I can understand shit tests at a bar but not in this case. Easy walk away.

Sounds to me like she was just playing hard to get. I probably would have make a quick comment throwing the hoop back at her: "I'm funny and interesting. I've done my part. I believe it's your turn!" in a joking manner, then just cut the thread and moved on.

What you did showed that you were high value and wouldn't deal with childish shit, but it might have been a little premature. You asked her for her # at the soda fountain...that "convince me" line might have been a subtle invite to sit with them and continue the fun convo and flirting.
