Yesterday was a long day. 11 hours of sarging for me at a national dance competition at unt. I met up with afterlife and texas there and that is when we started to game the venue. I now understand afc adam’s concept of venue gaming which is pretty cool. Afterlife befriended the employees at a pizza stand so whenever he sees a pretty girl buying pizza, he can say hi to the employee and then start talking to the girl. I understand how you would game a venue at like a dance competition, but I don't know how at a bar/club.
After that, we started to dance everywhere we went. Whenever we hear some good music, all of us started to dance to the beat. Afterlife is an amazing dancer and texas is descent. There is a lot of power in dancing. I don’t remember how many pictures were taken of us. My challenge was to open girls by dancing. I am not a good dancer, but I am getting better at it. I never did open any girls by dancing, but I could have opened. I noticed some girls noticing me when I danced, and I should have said something. I am still new to that concept, but I hope to try again.
We meet up with the Mississippi girls we met the day before at the mall, but not much went on with them so we leave them. I have to say thanks to them for telling us about the competition. I later meet these U-Wisconsin girls (I was suppose to go to the stockyards in Ft Worth with them, but it was 11:30 and I didn’t feel like driving to Ft. Worth). The Wisconsin girls was a warm approach. My roommate's girlfriend had a friend in the group, and she told me to say hi to her friend. I find the Wisconsin team and ask one of them... "Which one of you is ____." They point me to her, and I started to talk to her. I tell her "I am friends with ____ and she told me to come over and say hi to you." We talk for a bit, but then she had to go take group pics. They were eventually done, but I didn't reopen which I should have. I wasn't sure if it looked desperate or not. My roomate's girlfriend sends me a text later saying I should come to the stockyards with them. She and the Wisconsin friend wanted me to come with the dance team. I later find out the Wisconsin girl recently got engaged and she is only 19.
Afterlife and Texas runs into some girls they met at unt the day before.
We just kept dancing and kept getting noticed. Afterlife keeps getting texts from girls which kind of annoyed texas when speaking to afterlife. We talk to more girls. Opening girls by dancing is helpful. Another line we used to open girls was "what time do you guys go on." And then we get into a conversation. Everyone pretty much knew us eventually because they all noticed us dancing. We all go to afterlife’s car to pick-up this leopard furry vest that I was forced to wear. I felt uncomfortable for awhile with it on. I just wasn't used to that type of peacocking. I walked fast so people wouldn't notice the vest or stood close to Afterlife and Texas because of how uncomfortable I was. Eventually, girls started to open me by touching the vest, or I would compliment whatever a girl had on knowing I would get a compliment for my vest. After a little while of talking to girls, I became really comfortable with it on. I still had a problem keeping the conversation going with the girls. Also, I got shit-tested a few times on the vest of why I was wearing it. I forgot what I said, but they weren't clever enough. Any suggestions on how to respond???
Afterlife and texas had some lei to give to some employees. They then give a few to some of the girls on the Japanese team (amazing dancers by the way). The girls were fighting over the lei. They then wanted to take pictures with us. The Japanese dancers were celebrities at the competition, but us 3 were like celebrities to the Japanese dancers which grew out status. They kept wanting to take pictures with us. One girl asked afterlife if he can be her boyfriend, another said, “I love you†to afterlife. It was too bad none of the Japanese could speak English.
We later meet these girls from plano, and this one girl really liked texas. She really wanted texas by wanting him to call her and forcing texas to accept her number. Her and her friends kept following us around which I thought was pretty cool. One girl asked afterlife to give a rose to one of her shy friends which he did. He then finds another rose and gives it to her. He wanted to give some more, but the girl went into hiding because she is really shy. I talk to some of the other girls, but still had a problem keeping the conversation going.
We leave by 11:30, and I left as a happy kid. I learned to be more situational and gaming the venue.
I rarely ever used situational openers when I day gamed. I would usually go direct by telling the girl she is cute. Opening and transitioning to a conversation was easy, but my biggest sticking point is keeping a conversation going so I can eventually number-close the girl. Any suggestions? I am thinking of giving stories to keep it going or whatever.
Also, how would you game a club/bar/lounge venue setting?
By the way, I think I got positive reactions when I danced. I wasn't trying to dance stupid, but actually legitimately. I was learning different moves from Afterlife and Texas like shuffle and stomping. How would you know if you are being a dancing-monkey?
Girls kept asking us if we were in the competition or whatever, but we always said no. We are here because we like dancing.
