in field state killer last night...

Well I had probably the most disturbing in field experience in 10+ yrs of going to bars last night.. (This isn't really a PU field report)

Was standing there talking with a cougar and BullRun, and as far as I know, this girl that was [b]nowhere [/b]in my AR all of a sudden comes up and says "don't elbow me"...it basically came across from her tone that she was opening me, it wasn't said serious (at least that i noticed). i hadn't seen her before that second she says that to me. So naturally i give her a playful friendly elbow nudge and she wigs out, attempts to throw her beer on me... fortunately she had a bottled beer which made it hard...i would have been screwed if she had a draft. :) She slams her bottle down on the ground, causes a commotion, her friends jump in on me...good times. About 10 minutes later i'm surrounded by 3 bouncers, since apparently this nazi girl told them i was repeatedly elbowing her and was trying to get me kicked out. The cougar who witnessed all this immediately jumped in and lets them know it was all innocent, and she came up to me and i gave her 1 playful elbow.

I'm not a confrontational guy out causing scenes, so situations like this whether i'm in the right or wrong, genuinely disturb me. It was a serious buzz kill state killer for the rest of the evening. I ended up just hanging with the cougar rest of the night since it was easy. It's a shame, the night was warming up nicely, and a pretty target rich environment. Before that i was thinking the night was going to turn out pretty good. :)

BullRun, did i miss something in that exchange last night? you were kinda facing more her direction, i don't know if i missed something that led up to that.

Nah man, she just wasn't happy in general. She said she just had surgery. But, if you're body is that sensitive to someone playfully nudging you then you really shouldn't be walking around a crowded bar.

Sometimes chicks go off on you...I've seen a ton of times.

Sorry I wasn't there to back you up with the bouncers. I figured everything was diffused, so I did a walk-a-bout.

oh yea...'the surgery'!!

it's funny, she was too sensitive to take a playful nudge, but not too sensitive to violently shake her arm trying to get beer out of her bottle and onto me, then slam it on the ground! :)

oh well, i'll chalk it up to just a.... pissed at the world attitude, since that was so bizarre

Yeah that is one thing you need to realize. If you go out enough confrontation will find you. Maybe not very often...hopefully not very often but expect it on occasion.

Sometimes it ruins my night...sometimes my night gets better because of it. You know the difference...it is all in what state I am in before the confrontation happens. It typically escalates whatever state I am in.

I can't even count the number of confrontations playercool and I have been in. He's right, if you go out to bars often enough this stuff will happen.
