First Field Report

There is a HB that working in the Marketing department. I have only talked to her a few times she seems kind of ditsy. Yesterday I went out side to the smoking area look for some one and there she is.

Her: You looking for some one I think I am the only one here.
Me: Yeah guess I am out of luck (I layback on the a car and look her in the eye) so what’s up?

Her: Nothing, Do my pants look short?
Me: (I get a big smile on my face) Yeah but I was not going to say anything. I think they would look better with different shoes.

Her: (looks at her self in the window)
Me: Don't worry about it.

Her: Nothing I can do about it any way.
Me: How long have you been riding your bike?

Her: O I don't ride a bike it is a bicycle.
Me: That’s what I mean I can't see you on a real bike.

Her: (smiles) I have for a while I am trying to get in better shape.
Me: I know you could lose a few pounds {this girl is skinny no way she needs to lose weight}

She heads back in to the building I follow her since there is no one else out side.

I don't really want to date this chick since she works with me but I would like to get as far maybe getting her attracted to me and then turning her in to a friend.

Give your input guys and help would be great.

Good start though you eased the tension with "dont worry about it" and you walking in immediately she walked in.this came across as you stalking (sorry lack of better word) her. you should have acted as if you were out for the sun or something and she happened to be there.

About the HBs at work, I would not encourage tapping and all that. But they can be good grounds to test your knowledge and techniques and fine tune them before you hit your real targets....yeah those you have no qualms about dealing with on a daily basis.

I personally use HBs at work as control experiments but this has also brought its share of drama as most HBs and not so HBs tend to want something more. Since i am keeping my relationship with them professional its led to a lot of "playa hating".

The key is to know when to switch from sarge mode to business. But by all means have fun with the "control groups" and the techniques you apply to them.
