honestly i think it is a numbers game when you start out. You need to approach as many girls as possible. I think its a social skills game later though. After you can approach you need to try to raise your success rate with the women you want.
I do think that the pua community places too high of an emphasis on the F close though and they put too much emphasis on sheer number. I kind of understand stand where they are coming from though the F close is like a proof of sorts that I captured the prey so I can see why pua's would want to f close girls to prove they could have them.
I see where you are coming from Kit but they do have a very good point that you don't know his circumstances and he could be at a different skill level or he could have opened 18 girls that weren't worth his time even if he did everything perfectly.

I need to rephrase what I said in my first response. First, you're not a pussy. I admire your enthusiasm and your nerve to approach women directly with that line. You actually set yourself up for some rejection which takes balls. You deserve kudos for that! I am not ready to do what you did because when it comes to approaching women, I truly am a pussy. That is why I am here, to overcome that fear.

We did this experiment for a few reasons:

1. To see if we had enough balls to do it.
2. Thought it would be a fun game to play.
3. Wanted to validate the success rate of this method.

Afterwards, we both had boosted our confidence and discovered that its really no big deal to get rejected! And we had a blast doing it.
