FR: Idle Rich Opened my first set

Hey this weekend was great. I'm really new to the community but it was great to meet everyone and see you guys in action. My first interaction with y'all was about a month ago but I didn't open any sets. So I don't really want to count that as a sarge. It was good to meet playcool, bullrun, finesse, professor and others.

So my first set was these two asian chicks hb8.5 or so. They were sitting at a small round table in the middle, right infront of the bar. One of them was drinking a glass of clear liquid and I opened with can't believe your drinking water in a bar! That got their attention real quick and I ran best friend test on them, which got a good response but I defintely felt I could have ran that routine better. Anyways we get to chatting about the test and I didn't really ask them any questions about themselves. I ended up saying I'm going to get another drink and jetted.

I saw playercool at the bar area and he has a thing for asian chicks so I said lets go talk to em I'll introduce you. We end up talking for about another 10-15 minutes about general bs; noticed I was not negging / kinoing as well. Towards the end I noticed playercool wanted to leave so I told my taget we were heading out. She ended up saying asking us where we were going, almost as if she wanted to come. I replied Dunno not sure yet, but I had a good time meeting her and that we should hang out some time whats ur number?
She ended up saying she doesnt give out her phone number, which is BS, but it was great to get some feedback on how I was doing.

Honestly, if I hadnt tried to close I would have falsely assumed I did great on my first sarge due to her IOIs I was getting when I told her I was leaving. I opened a few more sets during the night but the interactions never lasted more than 5 minutes.

All in all it was a great night, and I'm happy I finally got to get my feet wet. Here are some things I learned from the night.

-Defintely need to more kino
-Need to neg more often but not too harshly that it offends someone so badly they get all wound up about it (that happened haha)
-Need to learn more routines and openers, I noticed that the routines u should run depends on the number of people in a set
-Disarm the guys and fat/ugly chicks first

So before this I had just read the game and saw Mystery's show on VH1.
So my knowledge of the game is defintely limited. I wanted to go out and do this shit first before reading mystery's book (backwards, I know).

Well this post has defintely gone on longer than I intended. I want to thank everyone for a great nite and I'm open to criticisms and pointers. I'm sure we will hang again in the future.

Well done on your first set I am glad I could wing it for you. Your target was definitely into you at least a little bit. Since I couldn't hear the convo my observation is based solely on body language.

I highly doubt most people's first set is with as attractive females as those were.

I'm new... to this whole thing, but here's something I've learned:

Negging is freakin' hard. You have to figure out where that edge is, and I think the only way to do that is to go neg the hell out of girls for a week or two. I think you'll eventually find just where that turning point is, and after that reel it back. I'm still looking for that point myself, so don't think I know where it is exactly either, but if it's like anything else in life (and it probably is) you'll get better with practice. Plus... it's fun getting slapped every now and again right? Keeps things interesting.

Negging is very tricky. I use negs all the time and I still don't have them down pact.

Keep in mind something. When you neg body language is very important as well. You kinda have to have this snide smile on your face when you do it. Or hell just bust out a full grin ear to ear and you might be alright. I try to keep them playful. Anything too harsh and it's no longer a neg but an insult. Some girls just can't take them. Their self esteem is so low they take it as an insult no matter what. If you feel she has LSE(Low self esteem) and you get blown out with a neg you can save it. You have two options and it depends on the rapport you have built up. I have used the line: I'm sorry I crossed the line with you. That wasn't my intention I was merely trying to define the line. Now that I know where it is I promise not to cross it again. This has saved sets for me and the girl immediately opened back up. If you open with a neg like I do all the time you have ZERO rapport built. I think at this point the only way to save it is to immediately start laughing play it off and compliment. Say you were just joking you just wanted to say hello. While I don't have experience with the latter I would say if I did this Sat night it would have worked.

I use negs as openers all the time. It almost seems as if I am the only one I have talked to who does this. It opens almost every set I do. I will say at MStreet on Saturday night though I got blown out with a neg opener. The girl took major offense to it. I blame it on my body language but it certainly could have been she had major LSE.

Professor your girl was fucked up. She had to of been on G or something. She couldn't even keep her feet under her. I do feel sorry for her tho face planting and all on the concrete. Geeze that sucks.

yep I dont really care about pissing em off or whatever. I'm not trying to do it on purpose, just seeing what works and what doesnt. good tips on negging playercool i'll definitely keep that in mind the next time I go out. I'm actually pretty damn good at negging, but I seem to only do it when I get to know the person really well. Something that must change ...

hmmmm... I just realize. I do alot of negging as a photographer. Right before doing a portrait I would seriously look at my subject's face and decide how to cover the f2ck up on her face. There is always something. IF she ask why I have to come from this angle, I would tell her. YOur eye is smaller than the other. Your hair is not right. You have a blemish here. Your face is warped. Your makeup is wrong. YOur clothing is too loud.

Than we have the fake smile or real smile.

HB9s and 10s are the worse in front of the camera. They are never satisfied with themselves. The Fat Chicks are easy... just hide 75% of their body in the photo.
