This is like right out of Tyler Durden, a la "10 Funky Ways to Attract Your Soul Mate" or whatever. He said these articles are written by geeks who don't get laid. I guess bartenders don't get laid either. I can see it now. AFC says, "I drink Manhattans because my grandfather did." HB10 says, "you are so interesting. Let's go fuck in the ladies bathroom."

Moral: SCREEN HARD. Don't waste time on women who are not interested. There are a lot of reasons why it could be. Next her and move on. Time is money boys.

Also ... bartenders often give pick up advice tainted by their own personal experiences. They use approaches requiring DHV which, in their environment, they already have. Always consider who is giving advice as much as the advice itself. Context is everything.

My first impression was that they got this advice from bartenders who work in very upscale bars in big cities. So they may be seeing a lot of guys wearing expensive suits who slam a Mazerati key chain on the bar before buying the lady a drink.

The second thing that ran through my head was, "lemon drop? Is it 1997 again?"
