I understand why I was successful with women and still have pretty good success today, albeit its not the level it used to be. The thing I have been having trouble seeing is the appeal of the door guy, bar tender, DJ or military personal. Ive met a lot of people in the Dallas night club scene who work various positions. I know several bar tenders, only one of which I would vouch for. No DJ or Promoter i know is remotely a cool guy. So what is the appeal here?

Status. In the world of the club, the DJ, bartender, and door man all have high status. Bartender controls the booze, door man controls the crowd, and DJ entertains the masses. Status is defined differently based on the context of the venue. In the club/bar world the guys you mentioned will almost always have the most status in the venue. Their personsality doesn't much matter. Even door men have groupies.

I'm not sure why it really matters though. If women are swooning over these guys then those women aren't really worth a whole lot to begin with. Sure, these men may have status in the club, but they don't have much value to the rest of the world...this would indicate that the women they attract are much the same way. Women tend to date up in value, not down.

As for military personnel, douche bag or not, I think they've more than earned some hot pussy don't you?

With the military depends on the person. Take for instance the guy who you and I know,that we don't care for. He's extremely low value, but yet gets girls that are of quality that I specialized in before depression. But I like going after their (promoter, dj, etc)girls. Also with what you said, you could make the arguement that Just because you know a lot of people it does not make a cool person.

I think you are putting too much focus on your external experience. If you feel a certain way inside, the be congruent to that.

I honestly don't know how you can make that argument. It's a moot point. It's a foregone conclusion. Being cool and having value (as we traditionally define value) means nothing in the 'club scene' (understand I'm talking about the club groupies, not just those that hit one up every now and again). Being known and having an ability to ellicit emotions in women is all that matters in that world. In fact, the more social status you have (i.e. the more known you are) the more attractive you are in that world. Being cool makes no difference. I've met some guys in that scene that are cool as fuck and some that I thought were awful people. There is one universal theme though. Most of those people are incredibly superficial and narcisstic. One could argue that being cool in that world is actually a hinderance.

Still though, I'm not sure I understand why you're so concerned with what others are doing. Who cares if some douche bag promoter or dumbass bartender is scoring some pussy? Why is that of any concern to you? Remember, that quality attracts quality. Sure, they score some pretty hot ass. But fuck if those women aren't just awful humans most of the time.

Place any average Joe in a position where you have an entire group of people facing them, that average Joe becomes super Joe! Be it on stage, behind a bar, or a line facing the doorman, that guy becomes THE chief of the group.

Even if it is just one person facing you, you're status is increased. Think of old Beavis and Butthead, who was the sidekick? The guy facing the other guy.... which reminds me of a study I read about....

The study was gauging the attractiveness of men simply by whether a female was facing them or not. They had pictures of guys facing front, toward to camera. Next to their pictures they placed pictures of women, some with their face facing front, the others were pictures of the side of the women’s' face, where they were facing the guy. The guys that had female faces facing them were found to be more attractive. Same faces, different positions.

So, my average Joe friends, if you want to be super Joe! get in a social situation where you have people facing you!

True, about the girls. Here's my point, I know a artist who has a lot of tats in uptown and has a shit load of friends. Hes a bad ass mother fucker. I know a guy who is friends with a dude we know and the guy who owns a salon and knows a lot of people but is a faggot.

To further explain my Story ill tell you the story of Tim. Tim and I went to college together. He was a friendly dude and knew a lot of people. Tim wasn't a dude, who you would call up be like "hey bro, there's A party going at xyz and there's some fine ass hoes there". Tim really didn't contribute to much of anything, he just knew alot of people.

Basically what I'm saying is that if your cool mother fucker, shits handled. To me cool is ultra high value.

There are a lot of high value, cool men that don't get a lot of play from women. And, there are a lot of men that are low value and douchey that get tons of play. Value isn't required to pull a woman. Social savvy and having an understanding of how to deal with a woman is way, way more important than being 'cool.' Unless of course you define 'cool' as being good with women.

You need to pick up a book called "Influence: Science And Practice" by Robert Ciadini. That book alone will reveal TONS of information about why people do what they do.
You may have heard of this book. You can even google the Wikipedia and get a good idea of it.

The bottom line is that the choices we make are often influenced by what others do (social proof), what authority figures tell us(authority), what people we like do (liking), etc..

Mr Cialdini is kind enough to show his cards.

Once you get the concept, you can then find ways to apply it.

Another guy in a bar is not applying this concept, by the way. But what if I were to make you a star...perhaps a foreigner? What if you went to Germany? Or Iceland? or The Philippines?
With American movies, you already have a reputation as being a cool guy.

Then, you would only have to do small logisitical maneuvers to get people to do what you want.

those type of people might not appeal to you outside the bar. But women like them for various reasons that usually doesn't pertain to long term relationships or immediate lays. I use to be a bouncer at a real popular titty bar. Patrons,Dj's, bartenders, and strippers admired me b/c I was someone who they could trust to keep the peace while they got hammered and/or made money. I was also friendly and willing to talk and laugh with anyone who talked to me. If a patron or dancer was acting stupid I would walk them out. Bouncers are the low end of the club totem pole b/c you don't have to do anything to get hired other than show up.



Military is a little bit different for a couple reasons; one is, a certain percentage of women want to marry a man in uniform b/c they find it sexy. She forgives a lot of shortcomings in their game b/c she sees discipline, government paycheck, crewcut, fitness, long term retirement benefits, etc. some of their parents have steered them that way.
