It is common knowledge that it's not what you say, but HOW you say it. It comes down to several factors:
1) Clarity
2) Volume
3) Just how cool you talk (inflections, smoothness, etc)
As for volume, not yelling so much, rather it is way your voice is projecting from your chest. When in a loud bar, look at the coolest guy in there. Go across the other side of the room and you will probably hear his voice over that of his friends. Being clear, hearable, and a cool talker will add volumes to your game.
