i just moved to arlington, TX from florida. i lived in philly also for a little bit. in FL people used to get their hair spiked. I did too. I am Indian and my hair spikes a little different but it looks cool. I went to Philly and saw the cool Indian guys all spike their hair like I did.
I've moved to Texas now and I dont see anybody spike their hair. I've been here a little more than 10 days. I just want to know what is popular in TX and is cool.
One guy in FL suggested I get a blowout and I got one. I got opened in clubs. He said get sideburns like the Peurto Rico guys. I saw the cool Indian club guys in Philly and they had something similar to that but not exactly the Peurto Rico sideburns. I asked a friend who is a girl and she said that she thought Peurto Rico sideburns would look ghetto.
Now do people in TX get blowouts? PU suggests you get a cool haircut. Blowout is something you can get at a barber shop, not necessarily a high-end hair stylist. I used to go to these hair stylists but wouldnt get a blowout. My next question is would you advice me to get a blowout because I am not sure if is classy.
Also, I want to do the Texan thing. U know you dont want to look like the Chicago guys when you are in Texas.

Your best bet is to find a good stylest and let him/her do their thing. If they are good they will give you a great cut although it may be in a style you didn't expect.

Sense you are new to the area, try going to the mall and making an appointment at toby & guy. It'll cost more than pro cuts, but you WILL notice the differance.

Just tell them what yu generally want and let them work their magic. They know more about what will look good on you than you do.

The popular haircut right now is obviously the mohawk.....but why would you want the popular haircut? If everyone does what everyone else is doing because its popular your just gonna fit into the crowd. No lie I saw a guy with feathers in his hair yesterday and he was running the show. Just do your hair in a way thats comfortable to you.
