LOL I saw this a while back. It's funny and likely accurate.

You guys are probably wondering why I would post such a thing. Let me say this, I think pickup is fun and worthwhile. Ya know, watch the drinking, wear a condom, don't be to dogmatic about it, etc.

There is also a dangerous element afoot and one of my friends has fallen victim to it.

He and I had it out the other night.

Sedona Method or Releasing Technnique are both cults. They are based on the earlier writings of a guy named Lester Levenson.

A friend of mine told me he was "mastering" these. But the only thing they release is the money from his wallet. He said he had gone to 4 weekend retreats and three 7-day retreats!

This is a warning to anyone who will listen.

Anyone who tells you to "let your feelings go" is also telling you to shut off your critical factor so you can be brainwashed.

I have personally gone through the Sedona Method CDs and they're not bad. In fact there is some usefulness there.
But my friend took it to the extreme and is now tied to Larry Crane's nutsack. (Larry Crane teaches the Releasing Technique.)

There is more information on Cults and Sedona/RT here:

There is a cultish quality to all this PUA stuff. My own experance has been like hanging with my friends watching a cult movie. However, when people start telling you that you aren't good enough and for the right price they have your cure, it's time to start running for the hills.
