I've been going into sets thinking I'm at war, and going in to manipulate or I'm going to be eaten...essentially trying to hard. I don't appear happy, and don't really have anything to talk about because I'm so wrapped up in strategy. I thought the more I approached, the more easy it would feel. I don't know if that's yet to happen, or if I've become almost confrontational. Fucking weird. Maybe I just haven't figured out which style works best for me. I know for certain that I haven't locked in something yet that works for me, but I'm uncertain which direction to go. I need to either work on strategy, create my own, or just relax.

any thoughts?

Your BL and attitude are so important. I can see cocky/funny/playful working for you. Give that a try in set this weekend and see how it works.

That is the beauty of this game. There are so many different avenues you can take. It is a marthon not a sprint. It will take time to get good so just go with the flow, read, and practice. Eventually you will pick and choose and figure out what works well for you.

instead of going in, in conquest mode. Go in and think I am here to have fun and just relax a bit.

Like PC and DD said, go in and relax and have fun. Have a positive mental attitude. Women aren't attracted to negativity.

IC, just be loose and don't try to strategize. It's called The Game, but that doesn't mean you actually play it in your head. Instead go out and get a feel for interactions, that feel will guide you.
