Dallas PUA

I've been mulling this question as of late. Although I have a rather (my last 2 - 3 numbers) small sample size, the numbers I've been getting do not respond to any of my txts (sent two max) or voice mail (1 max). I usually keep the txts short, light and humourous. Same with the voicemail.

I'm pretty sure that part of the reason I screw something up after the close ie: walking off and opening another set w/o even saying bye. Or doing a neg that ends up being way too harsh / insulting after #close. Or not building enough attraction (but then one wonders why she gave away her number in the first place cuz they're genuine in my cases).

It's rather annoying and I would have much prefered to get a fake number or a "I dont give my number out" response (anyone have a good response to this? I tried the "you can just say not interested" but I dont think its that good). So I don't end up wasting my time.

Also these girls arent super hot maybe between 6 - 7.5s or so. Just throwing that out there so its not like they're super 10s that prolly blow dudes off left and right (in the bad way no the good way pervs)

i think you might have answered at least one reason why this might be happening. After you get the girls number you should hang out with her for a bit longer instead of just walking off. It really helps seal things up and makes her think she is a person and you didn't just want her number. Also you might not be making enough of an impression on these girls for whatever reason. I don't know how your interactions have gone but maybe you should build more anticipation for a 2nd meet up at the initial conversation.

There could be some other issues like how soon after you met them you texted them. The wording of the text. Your frequency of 2 and 1 voicemail isnt too bad though I wouldnt say you were really overdoing it on that side of things.

Also you might just be having bad luck, maybe they have boyfriends they didnt mention or something.

Yea these are things I'm actively working on. And the 2 txt 1 voicemail thing was over a 1 1/2 week period. I consider these numbers dead now after that.

2 text 1 voicemail is decent its not over doing it but over a week and a half. That's a pretty long time. If she doesn't respond to the initial text send another like a day later but if she still doesn't respond then forget her and move on to someone worth it.

Also man you need to quit trying to get 6's anyway =P you can do better!

I agree with everything said so far:

-Don't walk away too soon
-Don't let too much time pass between the day you pulled and the time you contact her
-Keep you're texts and calls to a 1 to 2

But, have you also considered the possibility that you got the number just so you would leave? Girls routinely give their number out to guys just to get them to go away.

Maybe you're asking too soon? I've found that the longer in the interaction I go before I ask the more likely it is that I get a legit number.

a few years back I used to have the same problem......I found that almost any woman I asked would give me her number as long as we had a conversation that went ok.........but I also found out that most wouldn't respond.

Now I don't ask for a number unless i actually get the feeling they are interested in me. I've probably gone too far in this direction and don't ask enough women for their numbers, but I think you have to distinguish between a friendly conversation and them actually showing interest in you.

I have a friend who doesn't ask for numbers he actually asks girls out to do something specific (dinner or whatever) when he meets them, then if they agree he gets their number. It's seems to work pretty well for him, but I haven't tried it.

I think this is key. Have a time bridge, i.e. something else you're doing, and invite them to do it when you first meet them. Asking for a number without a future event is basically asking permission to someday ask them on a date. To be nice, a girl will often say, effectively, "sure, you can ask". Then when you call, she will know you're calling to ask her out and will decide it's easier to not answer than to listen to you and then say no. By not answering she is giving her answer.

Have some event planned (or planable), and talk it up like it's the greatest thing and you're really excited about it, without inviting her. Then after you discover that she is cool, it occurs to you that she could come with you and invite her to come. Then the phone number is a matter of logistics and you usually won't have to ask. But more importantly you already have the date.

p4nzer I agree with everything these guys said. What are you texting these girls? And what do you say on voicemail? If I were you I wouldn't even bother calling, unless they can't receive texts. The only time I ever call womens is to get or give directions.

This seems to be the best advice but not always easy to do. There have also been times where I've set up the date without even bothering to exchange numbers at all. "Oh you should come out to X bar on Saturday night, I'm going to be there." This works too. Concentrating on setting the next date as a goal instead of getting the numbers has been a great thing for my game, because I have zero expectations of getting phone numbers, so if I DO get one it's the girl voluntarily giving it to me without my asking, which means less chance of a flake.

I actually like talking on the phone but my txt game is kinda weak. I think if they ignore two txts, calling isnt gonna change it.

I've been using the txt hey it was nice meeting u last nice you're handsome charming and witty

On bright side, one of the bitches ended up picking up her phone and had good convo w/ her and kept her laughing until she had to leave since she was at work.
although i def prefer it when I hang up first not her.
