How do you know when a Bartender or Waitress is truly interested in you, and how do you distinguish when she's just being nice. I've noticed that they tend to flirt with all the guys and make them all think they like them. So i just tend to assume that they are all just being nice as part of their job and don't take any of them seriously.

In order to find out if they're serious, you have to take them out of their work mentality. Just like you do with strippers.

I would imagine most of them get hit on all the time.

I think the best way to play this is to never directly hit on them, always be upbeat and funny. Develop a rapport with them that is genuine and maybe at some point it becomes more but the social proof of them knowing who you are and treating you better is always more valuable than a couple nights of fun with a hired gun.

I had a bartender chase after me pretty hard Satruday night for the very approach I suggested above and I chose not to pursue because I know it is a very popular restaurant where I have developed significant social proof and i want to maintain that without the akwardness of having dated the staff. I will say however that she is very likely to become a pivot which is more valuable than a day2 with the girl and allows me to maintain my social proof.

Ok so I'm not one to hit on bartenders but here's a good success story:

Walked into a small bar, sit down by myself. I'm not even dressed up to be hitting on honey's. Jeans, t-shirt, hat on backwards, hadn't shaved for a day or so. You know, the don't really give a fuk l(o)(o)k. So I sit there and make eye contact with the bartender. She says she'll be right over. Well, her version of "right over" is 5minutes. In the meantime I'm on my phone calling/texting my other honey pots.

So she comes over to get my drink order and I throw a flirty ball buster on her for having to wait so long and told her that if she wanted to make it right to me, she could make that drink extra stiff! She comes back with that drink and yep it's stiff. Some time has passed and I'm ready to go, she comes over and says.........

Bartender: Oh I see, you aren't even going to stay long enough for me to hit on you?

Howie: Hahaha, I need to go home and let my dog out!

Bartender goes back to making drinks. Comes back a few minutes later.

Howie: What makes you think I'm your type and that I'm even single?

Bartender: How about you answer my question?

Howie: (with a smart ass devilish grin on his face says) Uhh what question would that be? (as I throw another laugh at her)

I head to the bathroom and as I'm coming back she's on her way out the door. So ole Howie has got to get up on the wheel and number close fast!

Howie: So I see, you must be all talk and you really weren't planning on coming over to hit on me. Whats that all about?

Bartender: I've got to go to class, I'm late but I'll be back later.

Howie: Haha, and you think I'm going to be here? How about you just give me your phone number and email and I'll get back to you later.

Bartender digs through her fake "Coach" purse looking for a pen and paper. Can't find one and walks clear to the front to get one. Comes back and she's got her info written down for me.

I'm walking to my vehicle and she sees me while she's already in her vehicle and I get the friendly wave and honk!

In my best Borat voice I'm saying "Great Success! Maybe we make a sexy time soon."

I have a special friend who is a waitress. On the night we first met, she wasn't working, we were talking about how I never hit on the staff and she was saying she does get hit on all the time but not by decent guys. That, in fact, she would like to get hit on by a higher value guy. So AFC guys hit on waitresses all the time, just be different from those bozo's and you're in like a dirty shirt.

Actually I saw her tonight and she had about 4 losers hanging around her the whole night. Seriously, they were all just hovering around her and could all see each other.....really weird.

I just treat her like a friend now.......too many dudes kissin her ass.

I only ever hit on one bartender. I was drinking by myself and not talking to anyone. I never flirted with her at all, but just before leaving I said I'm drunk so would you like to go out sometime?"

She said, "yes."

I said (this was long before I realized you need to sound confident), "you do?"

She said, "yes" and gave me her number.

I have no idea how I closed her but true story. We dated quite some time and she was very good to me. I moved away for a new job and we lost touch over time. This was at TGIF in Plano.

In all my years of traveling and being in bars, I have picked up a total of 3, yes 3, hot bartendars/waitresses.

All 3 of them were HOT. One was a model you have all seen and know. The others were equally as hot but not as famous.

All three pick ups were done with indifference....

- I was at the bar when it was slow so that I had ample time to converse.
- I didn't show any inclination that I was trying to get her into bed.
- I demonstrated that I had several other women after me via several methods.
- I tipped well demonstrating that I appreciated her efforts of serving me.
- When I did show interest, I made mention that I normally didn't hit on girls in bars but that I felt some intense connection, invited them to something other than bar life/drinks (lunch, coffee, church, etc)
- I had to wait until the 2nd or 3rd date to escalate sexually as I had to bust through the normal aggressiveness most guys showed to them.
