So I've been trying to really grasp this concept of reframing and I just cant seem to understand it. I've bought "Frogs Into Princes" and also "ReFraming" by Bandler but still cant grasp the concept as it applys to the pua. Is it just misdirection with questions to really get the person to exist in my frame? Or realize problems that exist due to there own re-accuring frames? Is a frame a current state of mind or thought process? By reframing are we changing the other persons frame to exist in our current frame?? Or is it a process of getting the other peson to question there own frame and therefore changing or mirroring yours? I'm confused as I'm sure you can tell. I admit I have not read the books all the way yet but was just wondering if you guys had any thoughts that might help me grab and hold onto this a little better??

I think it has to do with the set of assumptions. When we talk, speak, or act in any given circumstance, we are defining the social situation that we are in. This is based on a long list of assumptions derived from our learned value system and cultural norms.

Reframing is changing or altering the set of underlying assumptions which you base your actions on, redefining the social dynamic to your benefit.

Look at the shit test/reframing game post for some good examples, or just go rent any good fish-out-of-water movie to see how different people define the same situation differently depending on their personal and cultural background.
