Plano Tavern(Think thats the name) right off Parker and Tollway? Quite enough to carry on a conversation.

if you are just looking to grab a drink, the Fox and Hound (either off of 75 in Richardson or 190/Midway) are reasonable spots and are at least 'pubs'.

Cru(wine bar) at Shops of Legacy.

Plano is lacking in some of the true 'bars', it's more of the restaurant/bar type places.

Fillmore Pub, or Kelly's. Just east of 75 on 15th street.

I agree with Playercool. I take a lot of my day 2s to Plano Tavern. Its casual but nice, they have a wide beer selection and good specials.

Dude, this is something I love to do and don't think many guys in the Community ever do it. Tell her that you're going to have a drink, try to angle to pick her up but don't be over bearing about it. If you can convince her to let you pick her up on the way to wherever it is that you're going tell her that you need to stop at Target or Wal-mart or Toys 'r Us for a second. Bring her in with you and start walking around the store, use the people and products you see as sources of entertainment. Have fun with it!

It's so much more fun that going to a bar (something AFCs do regularly) and it's an action date, which I believe leaves more a mark than sitting on your ass getting drunk. You don't have to spend long in the store, maybe and hour, then you can hit the bar. The combination of physical activity and booze will really open her up. I've used this method many, many times successfully.

Good luck!

Fox & Hound, Kelly's are good choices.

Kellys is a pretty cozy place, real low-key, good atmosphere for a date. No pool or darts tho.

You might consider Love & War off 75 just north of George Bush. It's a restaurant and bar, and some nights they have country bands.

Fox Sports bar would be good as well. Located in north Plano off the Dallas Tollway.
