Stylish clothes for larger (not fat) guys

Postby bulletproof » Fri Feb 08, 2008 8:14 pm

I'm a competitive powerlifter and I'm currently 240lbs at 6'1''. I'm probably sitting at around 15% (average) bodyfat. I'm ultimately looking to be closer to 255 @ 12% bodyfat.

In most non-measured dress shirts and T-shirts I wear around a 2XL. If it's something Italian, who knows...probably 3XL since European stuff runs so small.

I typically have trouble finding stuff over XL in most stores.

I'm mainly looking for casual type clothes to wear to clubs and what-not.

Do any of you have any shopping tips that might help me out?

If you are slim around the waist go vintage.... I'm 6'2" and 205lbs and it looks good on me or that's what I've been told. A close friend of mine is 6'3" and 245... we hit the weights together. We both get many shirts at banana republic, they fit snug around the mid section and are fitting for our shoulders and chest. Also "the buckle?" at the parks mall has good vintage. Hope this helps......

T-shirts. If you aren't fat, then you shouldn't have anything to hide. Further, T-shirts, by their nature, fit snug in all the right places. There are a TON of T-shirts in style and trendy right now, FIND THEM!
The difference is indifference.
