I put a dating ad up just for fun.
Dear Lord Westfall....
Saw your ad, and you do rather come off as an ass, but my interest was peaked nonetheless. You don't say where you are located in your ad. I'd prefer someone local to me because the online dating thing is bs -- I am in Louisiana. So where are you, where are you from, and what are you looking for besides walks on the beach with girls that aren't fat or mentally unwell?
The girl attached 4 pictures and she is really cute (and not fat at all). And yet my first instict is to hit reply and write "I said no fat chicks"

I can't figure out why you'd be interested in a girl from Louisiana if you live in the DFW area. I won't even date women who live more than 25 minutes away, so 90% of the women in the metroplex are off limits for me.
Basically, there is no way to win with this one. I once tried to date a woman who lived in south Dallas. She knew it was a 45 minute drive with no traffic. I made the drive once. Key word is once. Then she wouldn't see me again. It's a major SIGN of neediness to drive that far to see a woman. If you could get her to come see you, that's another story. But I say the odds are WAY against that unless you have some unbelievable phone game.

Yeah, Louisiana sucks. I personally would never go there. It's almost as bad as Arkansas... But not quite.

I got a girl from canada to come visit me once. I also got a ticket to new york to see another girl... problem with that? It was one way. It is possible to do, but was alot of wasted time and effort.

Funny stuff... I tried some crap online a month ago(personals on yahoo) and all I got was more questions about why I sounded like such a dick! It was kinda funny though...
I have to say that the reason I love face to face -vs- the online approach is that I really love the excitement of the human interaction!
