Karma police

Our HR manager is a fairly cute married girl, she has a cat-like look. She like me is a UofA graduate. Her husband is also a Mechanical Engineer (for another company). Every 2 weeks she brings our paychecks back here (we're like an absurdly far 8 minute walk away from the front). I've been showing her less attention than the other engineers & throwing some LIGHT teasing at her... She seems to linger back here a bit longer than she would normally...

Today she was wearing this goofy jacket with big buttons. I busted on her for that, and when she turned around I noticed it had a little thing in the back. It's something you'd attach a leesh to if you didn't want her to wander into your neigbors yard.

WF: What's that thing in the back?
HBHR: It's just for decoration
WF: I thought it was something you put a leesh on when taking you for a walk.
HBHR (playfully): I don't want YOU talking about putting me on a leesh.
WF *ignoring*
HBHR: I'll put you on a leesh!
WF (eye contact, mischievious grin): You're not putting me on a leesh.

I wanted to go with something like:

WF: Only if you're good ;)
WF: Okay, tomorrow at 8
WF: Ohh, kinky
WF: You're right, it would look better on me

But it's work...and I lack good social tact, which forces me to be more reserved, and thus I cannot game her even though she is attracted. Of course there are plenty of other girls outside of work, but I'm slowly starting to like her personality. I can tell she'd be fun in bed.

Thoughts?

Advice given to me right after I joined this forum: "Don't shit where you eat."

But I, like you, am still intrigued by workplace game.

Is the only face-to-face contact you get when she brings you your check? That's a toughie. I've had experience in a similar situation...and I couldn't really make any real move until a company party. Discretion on high, and BAM.

Other than this being a work thing and a married thing that you should probably avoid, here are my comments.

Remember, women have a lot of options. If ANY woman, no matter how ugly, were to go lie down naked on the sidewalk and ask every guy walking by to fuck her, someone would take her up on it.

If a guy did that, he would be arrested within minutes and marked as a sexual offender for the rest of his life.

Everyone likes to get attention and needs to be validated from time to time. A lot of women (and men) get validation from harmless flirting.

She is married, it doesn't sound like you have spent a lot of time with her and the interaction wasn't very long. You were not going to get anywhere with her at that moment except for some harmless flirting. You probably made her feel attractive in that moment and she probably enjoyed the banter. Not much else happened.

If you want to know if the door is open for her to stray from her husband, you should knock on that door.

WF: Whoa! What is that thing on your jacket? A place for your hubby to connect a lease or some other kinky device? [said in a VERY playful manner so as not to offend - be careful to avoid any walking a "dog" references]

Then judge her reaction to how she refers to her husband.

I don't condone stealing someone away from their husband or fiance. However, everytime I have stolen someone away, I have directly knocked on the door and when the reaction was negative or disparaging, knew that the door was at least partially open.
