Mots my work button downs have no designs on them, so they would probably be out. Do you usually keep yours untucked? I also have issues with untucking real nice dress shirts cause they look real long on me, again because I am short. I'll take a look at the link
You can get by tucking your shirts in right now. Especially if you dress yourself up with a few pieces of jewelry, or mewelry (man-jewelry). A bracelet, necklace, and a few rings. Don't forget to get a cool belt, if you're wearing even one lame piece of clothing you'll look stupid and awkward.
My suggestion regarding the jeans would be to buy a pair of expensive ones. Even if they're the only pair you ever wear out it will be worth it. Girls notice everything: hair, eyebrows, teeth, skin tone, shoes, jeans, finger nails. I almost *never* get a comment on my shirts or sports jacket. But I will get comments on my jeans. Jeans are very important right now, don't try to buck the trend. You should also focus heavily on shoes, mewelry, and glasses. So don't skimp on those items, a hot shirt isn't as important as you think but cool shoes and accessories will attract a woman's attention.
By the way, just because you don't have to wear glasses doesn't mean you shouldn't. I have to wear them, but you can buy glasses that are meant to be an accessory. Find some, buy them, wear them on occasion. I get A LOT of comments on the glasses, A LOT. And they're a great prop, take them off and put them on your target then tell her she looks like a dork or nerd or something like that.
The difference is indifference.
