How to take a Compliment

This is a question that has to do with the topic below...I just figured this topic title was more clear. If someone pays you a compliment on your appearance, how do you take it? Other than thank you and you too (because many times this isn't the case.)

I like to say, "Thank you for noticing." I'll say it regardless of whether it's for my appearance or something else. It implies that I know I look good (or that I have whatever compliment-worthy attribute) without being full of myself. It is essentially returning her compliment with a compliment on her good taste or her perceptiveness. It rewards her IOI, and it leads to something non-physical I can appreciate about her.

Agreed. How would someone who constantly gets complimented respond?

I typically just say "thank you" and move on. I make it seem as if people tell me that all the time. Then I have her qualify and IOI her.

I hadn't thought too much about it before. I really do get a lot of complements in field. Two or three a night. What I do is say thinks and then turn my back. This is something I do naturally. But, it lets her know that she'll have to earn my attention.
