The purpose of www.dallaspua.com is to offer a home for the Dallas Pua Society, to offer a home for you. This is your site.

Thus far this site only has a few tools for you to use (such as Message Board and Resources) however anything you want can be added. Share your ideas. There is no limit to what can be done here.

We also need people. People to run the group, moderate, etc. My role in this is just to provide a better forum, a better site for you and an easier way for other rAFCs and Puas to find the community. That is all. First membership will be low, limited to only those few already aware of this via another board. However, after 3 months (when ranked high in search engines), this will be THE site people will find via Internet. If you read this before the influx, you are on the ground floor of something big. Take advantage of it.

Greg,

would it be possible to have some sort of personal Journal on this site? It would be cool if we can have a personal journal in which we can choose to make it Public or Private just to track our progress.

Also,

We should have an assignment of the Week or Challenge of the week or something just to spice things up.

Ace, I know I can create blogs/journals on this site. That would not be the problem. Let me see exactly how to go about it in a practical manner. The best way would be to have it allow members to set up their personal logs automatically and easily with no/minimal work from the webmaster (i.e. me thus far). This will take a little time to do.

This is an excellent idea that should be implemented for this site. I have heard that request before.

Assignment of the Week or Challenge of the week. Would this be a challenge such as who can get the most phone numbers? Activities such as these will definetly be done in a few months when activity level on the board increases.

So thus far, we have the two ideas:
1) PERSONAL JOURNALS
2) CHALLENGE OF THE WEEK

Just got another idea... A calendar. I am thinking a calendar that is available to anyone to post events on it. I know there is the danger of graffitti, though, if that happens, I would think other, more serious puas, would erase it. Just trying to make this site's capabilities open to all. I also thought about chat, however that would take serious traffic. Though it would be a good real-time metting place to discuss, plan events, see what is happening that night last minute, etc. So two more ideas:

3) CALENDAR open to anyone to post (maybe)
4) CHAT

Looking through various journal/blogger software installs now. Some sweet stuff out there. It will probably look something like this:

www.yourname.dallaspua.com

OK

Although I haven't been looking around on this site a lot, here are some of my suggestions. Whether or not they are already in place, that I am not sure of.

I like the idea of an assignment or challenge for the week, perhaps a tip of the week for everyone to try out.

Maybe weekly or biweekly events or meetings. We can just get together on the weekend locally and all go out as a crew. Go out sarging, barhopping, whatever to not only build comradery, but also to help each other and work on everyone's game. I personally feel that with myself I am not challenged to go talk to an HB 9 or 10, but if some of my fellow PUA's were out with me, then it would be like Im trying to prove something to them.

Like the other dude said... A blog spot or something where we could post up field reports...

a vote for chat

Hey guys, I have to say chat would be really good, in case I want to see if anyone feels like sarging right now for example.

This doesn't necessarily need any hosting effort or server-side software. We just have to agree on an irc network and channel. We're all computer dorks right so I don't have to explain what that is...

Ok, I'm in #dpua on freenode. If this seems worthwhile then perhaps we can register it.
