Wingmen, Number Closing, and Female Friends

I just wanted to post some realizations I had over the last several days.

First off is the importance of a wingman. If you are just starting off and trying to go sarging by yourself, consider taking the extra effort to find a wingman. There are so many reasons to do so. The most important ones I think are:

1. You have someone to push you. It's too easy to give up and go home if you are out there on your own.

2. You get to share your thoughts with someone of similar interests. I have several close friends but talking to them about PU is pointless because they are in long term/miserable relationships and don't buy into it.

3. Social Proof. If you are with someone you automatically look less creepy.

4. Opening/Closing sets. It's always nice to be able to walk into a set where your wingman has already opened and be introduced as somebody rather than a stranger. Also, if you are struggling to close, an instant date idea thrown out by your wingman could be the perfect solution.

The second realization is the importance of the number close. It's really easy to get discouraged when you read field reports by mPUA's. It seems like they are always F-closing everyone. When I get home after a night out and am taking everything out of my pockets I always feel a bit of disappointment that my condoms are still in their wrappers. This is just self defeating thought though. F-closing girls or even K-closing girls the first time you go sarging is not a realistic expectation. In order to succeed at this game it is important to set goals that are difficult but achievable. Don't be disappointed with a number. That number could turn into sex down the road. You never know. Not to mention it gives you an opportunity to work on your text and phone game.

The third thing I realized is that not everyone should be sarged. I had dinner with a girl I went to high school with a few nights ago. She's very attractive and recently single so I ran some routines on her. It didn't work. I don't know if it was because there was too much history between us or because she was too consumed by other things right now. Either way, I should have saw the big picture. She's a very social girl and has lots of hot friends. It would have been more beneficial to me to just be her friend. That way down the road when she throws a party or something I already have social proof within her circle of influence.

I'm sure all of this stuff has already been stated before, but I think it should be emphasized more, especially for beginners.

I agree with alot of that, but this one I totally disagree with. You had it right with semi social proof, but the point of going solo-sarging is to force you into sets, so youre not the single solo guy wandering around. Also, I believe that if your inner game is tight then if youre solo then that is a DHV not a DLV. Having the balls to go out solo and still have fun is, I think, a big turn on for a woman.

My two cents.

Otherwise I love the observations. Keep em comin.

I dont think soloing is a DHV, i have never thought a girl is hotter because she is alone.

You probably havent, and im just assuming here, but i would be willing to bet that 1)you thought she was more approachable (DHV... sorta, depending on how you look at it) and 2)haven't thought of it as a DLV at least. I know when I see a solo chica, i start thinking fish in a barrel, since obviously shes here for dick, or the free drinks most guys buy her.

Besides, we were talking about guys going out solo, not chicks ;)

There have been countless times I recall that I was eager to go out, but nobody I knew wanted to go out. I wish I could work up the courage to go sarging solo, but everytime I think about it, it just seems like something that would be hard to convince myself to do. I guess I have to get comfortable with my game before I can solo sarge.

I have to say I think having a couple of people there with you to push and assist each other during the initial stages is good, just cause some guys including myself will constantly talk themselves out of approaching every situation. When you have one or two other guys there doing the same they will either see you in a set or sitting off to the side and either have encouraging words (DO IT PUSSY!) or your situation will encourage them.

Other than that, it is cool to hangout with some of these guys.
