Hey guys... need some help w/clothing. What I currently wear out to clubs is shit right out of Buckle.. I love that store ... if you've never been there you can goto www.buckle.com

Typical outfit now is Affliction shirt with black harley boots, lucky or BKE blue jeans. Sometimes I wear a black lightweight suit like jacket... sometiems not. I have no earrings, piercings, eyeliner, black nails or anything... just a stock kinda guy who dressing pretty decent. FYI.. I'm 5'8" .. slight tan, white boy with 185 lbs apx. 14% bodyfat (decent muscle but not a bodybuilder or anything).

Anyway... I'm wanting to add some stuff to Peacock a little.. .experiment a little and see if it helps?

Here's a couple pieces I'm considering adding accesories... would these be to over the top OR are they outplayed already ?

Thoughts? I'm pretty sure an Aussie hat is no biggie.... after all if they ask anything about it ... I can go into my 2 months stay/vacation in Aussie... (DHV).. But is the Pimp Hat and Necklace over the top?

experimenting is good. try some stuff out and see what works for you. if you're going to dress outlandishly make sure that you have the confidence and charisma to back it up. dont try to put something on that doesnt suite YOU. im originally from chicago and came down to fort worth about 4 years go... every time i try to wear a cowboy hat it doesnt look good or convey the message that im confident wearing it because it just feels so unnatural since i have never worn one. on the other hand, i was in a hair show a while back and they put blue in my hair (hence my name, blue) and i dug it, so i kept it. all the time people comment on my hair saying it totally suites me and i rock it really well.

girls will notice little accessories as much as they notice big fuzzy hats so peacocking doesnt have to be over the top, either. you could try wearing suspenders or a funky belt buckle or a skinny tie... something like that is still mainstream but will draw attention.

and lastly, peacocking can be something thats different than just clothing. i started collecting koozies (you know, the sleeve thing that you put over your beer) a couple years ago and i pretty much always have one out with me at the bar. so just standing there with my beer or drink with a koozie on it attracts attention. almost every single night i will get opened by a random person asking me why i have one. its just a great conversation starter.


play around with it. find something that you can rock. and own it. confidence is more important than what you're wearing. hope this helps.

I find it surprising that guys think wearing affliction is dressing nice! Every other guy in dallas wears affliction so the hoped for response to a "cool" shirt is muffled. Look for clothes that "nobody has". An interesting law that applies to peacocking is that you will be shit-tested!!! You are going to get a negative response to what you wear but repitition of these responses will guide you to a state of social agility. For instance: elation has a graphic tee that says hard-rocker. Every set he opens will eventually say something along the lines of "So, are u really a hard rocker or a soft rocker?". His shit-test responses are calibrated and automatic now.

Affliction is getting to mainstream... I still love them I hate the fact everyone's wearing 'em.

Any local shops or online stores carrying UNIQUE clothing ? ebay?

Just walk into the club with a Toga and say, "Where are my frat brothers? Ah, hell, who cares! Pour me a whiskey!"

all clothing is unique... you just have to find a way to apply it. for instance a tie could be used as a headband.....

not very promising but maybe.... hey it is different.

go to a bar or club. and find the guys that "look" like they get laid. pick out what you like about their style and then apply it to you. you wont get exactly ... but pretty close. on top of which you are applying fashion.

I cant remember where I got this from but fashion is just basically another avenue to stand out. So maybe that tie as a bandanna idea wasnt so bad? Fashion has to be congruent to you. Youi have to feel good and comfortable in what youre wearing. If not, then youll just be weird. Like someone here said, style and fashion can be a simple change. Such as a cuzi(sp?) Point is.... if you find something you like.... try it.just like game, your style has to be calibrated as well.

If you really want your shirt to differentiate yourself a bit then check out Ed Hardy's line of shirts. You'll pay for it but if you're a frugal ebayer, you can limit your expense.

You'll need to go Googling for them, I do not know of a retail store where you can buy one...which is why you rarely see them.

Thank bro... finally a tip I can use... I looked at their clothing and Mikey Likes It !

Also, learn about Ed...cause when you're wearing the shirts that has "ED HARDY" on and you get the question "who's Ed Hardy" you have a new thread....no pun intended.
