Def of pick-up, cont'd

Pickup is:
A psychological heterodoxy predicated on outlier studies.

Specifically, "pick-up" is the belief that any given man (us.), contrary to psychological orthodoxies, can cause a woman (us.) to have sex in a drastically reduced timeframe (as compared to the orthodox minimumum.)

It is founded on the assumption that if you behave in ways identical to how these outliers behave, you will get what you want. Specifically, women will want to sleep with you, and you will sleep with women.

Problematically, there are a number of presumptions that a skeptic could leverage to undermine the validity of this definition (not from a pua's perspective, just generally. I'll give an example below.).

I count seven. Any takers?

note: us. means "usually"--here, it's about gender.

(Note: I like pick-up. I think there are ways to do it that work. For now, this is just a thought-problem--an important one, to be sure, but not that big of a deal.)

Questionable presumption 1: all guys desire what outliers are able to achieve.

(Riding alongside that is the presumption that outliers want what they are able to achieve. The alternative is that outliers get sex, but they don't like it.
