It would be a better use of your energy to try to figure out why you are coming off incongruent, and try to prevent it, rather than trying to recover. Especially if you're getting it very soon, it's going to be extremely difficult to recover.

Definately try to figure out what/how you're saying is giving off a pickup vibe. Take a mini recorder in and record yourself.

That said, how you respond to it is crucial... "yea, I'm here picking up chicks"... or something c&f that says "You do it, everyone else here is doing it, and so am I... I just don't care if you care". If you want to use a prop, whip out a notepad with big "HOT" and "NOT" columns, and add a tick mark to one of the columns (there should obviously be a lot of tick marks already).

The point is, there's a million ways to deal with being busted, and they all have in common "so fucking what?" Take that frame back. It's yours... you own it.

You shouldn't get this really ever. It's not usually a shit test more of a 'please go away'. Need to work on BL.

You can't take back a frame you don't own. Learn how to enter a set better. Hang out with guys that can show you.

Sure.

#1 Slow down. Slow everything down in your mind. The bar, the people, the interactions.

Consider that you may be telegraphing too much interest. Use tactics like locking in, body rocking and false time constraints.

#2 When you get shit tested like this, remember that you can reframe any interaction.

If you get that early on in the set, then you definitely telegraphed too much interest or just weren't interesting enough. If you get it later on in the set, then she knew it was a pickup, but she wanted you around anyway. I had a girl ask me about my opener 30 minutes into the set. It was an opinion opener based on something that really happened to my friend. But if I told her that, it would seem like I was lying, so I just said, "I have a pickup line of the day calender," and then I changed the subject. By that point it didn't matter.
