My sister is on POF and asked me to help her out with finding some guys that would be worth her time. So I have been logged in under her username for 10minutes and received 5 different messages. She averages about 10 messages a day and rarely logs in. But whenever she is logged in her shit blows up.

Almost every single message has "Hi" or "hello" in the subject line. Then when you get to the body of the message its "hey there".....or "you're cute" and nothing else.

Here are some of the best ones:

-how do i get you to talk to me more?
-hey, I gave you my number why didn't you call?
-how are you tonite........you look good...hope you had a good day.
-I would like a chance to get to know you.
-oh baby that a$$ is fine.
-Let me tell you that you look very attractive in your pictures... You have a beautiful eyes...

-You look like an European girl... German or Deutch?
Then after not even opening the first message he sends this the next day:
-I said it the last time and I say it again... You look really attractive in your pictures.... I'm sure that you look even better in person...
I know that it's going to be a lucky guy the one who can conquer your heart and contemplate you pretty face every day in the mornings...

I about vomited after reading all of this stupid shit. No wonder women are so easily discouraged with internet dating and leary of men. All of this stupidness cloggs up a girls inbox and makes it tough for guys like us. These tool bags should be denied access to internet dating.

My sister is average in the looks department and is getting this kind of traffic.......imagine what attractive women get. I've had several hotties tell me they'll get 40-50message a day. I now understand why so many get "bitchy" with their profiles in an attempt to screen some of these tool bags.

Its no wonder why women don't approach or initiate contact....they fucking don't have to! I see/hear all the time where girls get online and are discouraged within a weeks time. My exwife is an HB8.5 and says the same thing.

Its no wonder why guys who do know there way around women get accused of being players even when they aren't.

Anyhow, just thought I'd share this with you guys.

ps. on a sidenote I was sitting at a bar in allen the other night being anti-social and observing people. I witnessed a guy blow $170 on buying drinks for 3 girls. Then as soon as they left he is bitching about his bill...........after a few minutes he says " and I didn't even get laid tonite"..........lmfao. Just another example of a toolbag.

Now you see why a lot of us suggest guys make a fake chick account on there to get an idea of what girls typically deal with. I met my girlfriend on PoF, and she got an average of 30 or so messages a day. I used a chick friend's PoF to get an idea of what other guys were doing, and she got even more (because she is young and put super slutty pictures up...lol.)

You get blown up when logged in because it puts you at the top of the 'currently logged in' profile browser. I did most of my work off that page too. Best to hit them right when they get on in my opinion...otherwise you might be sending messages to a hoe that hasn't logged on in months.

Did she get one that said "Say girl, how's that ass doin today"? Cause if so that was probably from me. My bad, I had no idea that was your sister.

So I created a bogus profile on PoF.

Here were the responses I got within a 15 minute timeframe of first completing the profile:

Format is: Subject: Message

Hello: Hi how are you?
Hey How are ya: So what brings you to Wichita Falls all the way from the Ukraine.

Hi: How are you tonight?
Hi: I would love to bring you flowers and take you to dinner and see who you are and what you stand for. :-) How are you tonight? My name is Alberto. What is your name?
Hi: are you really in those pictures? if you are, you're really pretty!

So what I have learned from this little experiment is this:

A) When messaging a girl, use the subject line. I mean, why would any sane person open any of these?

B) Say something meaningful in the message that somehow ties back to the subject and opens her. (Although I am not sure what the best way to do this is? ) Advice/examples anyone?

As far as a profile, I do have a profile on PoF ( a real one)... Im still polishing it based off of BR's recommendations.

It is imperative that your subject line contain something in it that sticks out. Anything different is good.

Don't worry about saying something meaningful. Sure, I'm a believer that you have to have some mention of things in her profile so she at least feels as if your email is not a canned email (which chances are it will be).

The point of the email is not to illicit an emotional response from her or to create a connection. The point of the e-mail is to pique her interest enough so that she'll read your profile. Your profile is what is going to spark attraction. So, you should have more than enough bait for her to hook on and talk about from your profile so she can volley back with a thoughtful email.

Your email should also double as a filter. If she reads it and doesn't go to your profile and read that and then use what you wrote in your profile to get the ball rolling then she's probably not serious about online dating, not serious about you, or is just flat out boring.

I'm 100% of the opinion that you have to get some investment from the girl, EARLY ON otherwise she'll string you along just for fun. It's not line in real life, where the man can and does run 90% of the conversation to start with...online Game has to be about 50/50 otherwise the girl isn't worth the effort and you look really desperate if you keep trying too hard.

Other helpful hints:

-Check your profile twice a day. Once in the morning to read your emails and once in the evening to respond to your emails and to make a tweak to your profile. You don't want girls to know that you're on a dating site all day. Appear busy by refraining from logging into the site.
-Do not look at their profile more than three times. The first time is to determine if you like them, if you do email them right then. The second time is to re-evaluate her profile AFTER she responds to you. The third time is to get one last glance as you head out the door to meet her for a drink so you can get a refresher of what she looks like, what she said, and other things about her.
-Do not get into long email volleys with her. 2-3 is MORE than enough. If she gives you an email account don't use it, just ask for her number.
-Do not respond to girls with just one picture. They will be fat/ugly OR it's a fake profile.
-Watch for profiles with broken English, most likely they're fakes too.
-Do not respond to girls that do not have a picture of their body. When in doubt, assume she's fat. Do not ever look at what her body type is, she's probably lying.
-Understand that women put the best pictures of themselves on their profile so if she looks like an 8 then knock of 1 to 2 HB points.
-When you get together with her conveinently forget what you know about her, except that which she said in her emails. Even then, forget a lot of that. If she says something like, I told you already or it was in my profile just say "well, I get a lot of emails...can't remember them all."
-If you get a one word email from a girl next her. If she can't put forth SOME effort, then she's a waste of time.
-If a girl doesn't respond after a week or turns you down, block her profile from showing up in your searches. This way, you don't hit her twice.
