I started Adkins about 1.5 months ago. It's challenging for the first two weeks but that's about it then you stop wanting all the extra carbs so bad. I was 310 lbs 6 weeks ago, today I weighed in at 275.6. I'm doing cardio while I diet(and am hating the elliptical machine) but its been working for me.
Now, If your not going to diet or exercise, then getting nice clothing is going to be hard. We're big guys and big guys spend more for nice clothes, it's a fact of life. The other fact of life (or human behavior) is that you're not going to slim down until you damn well want to. It took me 32 years to decide to slim down ( I was a fat kid and am a fat adult ) and I'm now at this point in my life finally ready to do something about it. You'll decide for yourself when the time is right for you.
Now as far as big guy clothing and club wear.. well you've got me there. They don't generally make "clubwear" for big guys, because, well the club isn't typically our scene... Let's be frank here, fat guys don't show higher value to 115lbs hotties. Besides, all the shit we have to learn in game, she's thinking..."Fuck, this monster would smother me!" Now if you can DHV strong enough to overcome that, then damn! your good! and should be writing a book called, "PU for the obese!":p
As far as nice clothes that you can mix/match to do whatever you want. I shop at Jos. A Bank. Here's the deal there. You can buy a no-iron white buttondown for around 45$ (sale price on Travellers shirts), or for that matter, any other color you like. I'm partial to white because it looks good with just about anything. Prodigy was wearing a lavender shirt the other night, but you couldn't really tell. It was part of his peacocking. There is no reason that you can't do something similar (although as a big man, I wouldn't recommend having on as tight as he was wearing it.. LOL)
If you go the Travellers route, then spend another $15 to get it tailored so that it gives you a chiseled look instead of a parachute look (something us big guys struggle with is parachute looks so make sure the store you go to has a decent tailor) So for a total of $60 you can get a go anywhere white buttondown that looks decent on you as a big guy. That's about 200% over what you were wanting to pay, but then again, you get what you pay for.
Now I'm going to go off on a rabbit trail at this point and talk about congruence. The way you dress no matter what your size must be congruent with who you are. I'm not really all that comfortable with graphic teas and ripped jeans, but this is perfectly acceptable in some (alot) of clubs and could even be considered club wear since the whole ripped jeans thing is back in style ( yes I said back, because it was all the rage in the mid 80s.) If I wore this type of clothing I would feel even more uncomfortable talking to women that I find attractive than I currently am. What I am saying here, is wear clothing that makes you feel like your 10 feet tall and can take on the world. Do wear clothing that fits who you are. (successful business men do not wear ripped jeans.) Do not wear clothing that is going to make you self conscious. Do not wear clothing that is going to conflict with who you are.
